I honestly thought Kevin would choke this away like hes done on countless occasions, but he finally comes good. Now waits for winner between Rafa and Stan. Should be good experience to face Rafa.

What a retard. Unbelievable that Querrey is wasting the peak years of his career winning MM tourneys and being tired/injured/a clown at the important ones. Anderson is an extremely limited player who Querrey has already beaten, there is no excuse for losing to him on a slow hardcourt.

How this quitter, moron, and ugly mug has any fans left I'll never know

Not a MM tourney, so never in doubt.

Anderson has been on the up all year, found his consistency, but struggling in those big match pressure moments. This could really propel him forwards.

Awesome serve numbers this week though. Good luck to anyone breaking him when he's over 70% first serve.

Sam is unfortunately proving himself to be a guy who doesn't have the cojones at the big stages. Next season he needs to look to change his schedule and mentality up so he has full focus and energy coming into these big events. Winning LA is fine but to gain essentially no points at these last two big point events are what is keeping him from making traction into the top 15.

I agree. As much as I like the guy, he frustrates me with his mental approach to tennis. It's great that he's winning 250 events, but there comes a point where if you expect to get to the next level, 250 events aren't gonna cut it. He (and Isner) needs to seriously step up his performance at the big events. If he doesn't then he will go no further than where he is now.

It needs to start with the scheduling. What on earth would possess him to schedule L.A., Washington D.C., Toronto, Cincy, New Haven, and the US Open? That's 7 consecutive weeks. No wonder he is always mentally and physically spent at the big tournaments. I wonder why his coach hasn't stepped up and grilled him yet about this. This is where he needs to earn his pay.

Sam's coach also needs to get him to seriously change his way of thinking and approaching this game. The way he sounds sometimes, makes me think he doesn't wanna try hard in order to win. Seems like he doesn't want the success bad enough. He'll blame the world for his mistakes and misfortunes on the court.

I hope for his sake he'll grow up and start acting like a "professional" tennis player. If he's gonna be serious about this, he needs to prove it, and soon.

embarrassing loss for Querrey :spit: he's at the point in his career now where he needs to focus on masters and slams. He's proven he can win smaller events...
I doubt Querrey will do well in Cincinnati next week either, especially if it's still hot there.
