:spit: Biggest mugfest I've seen in a while.

The frenchman is a disgrace, can't even win against a Djokovic in this shape. :o :o
Nole hardly even looked concious. He'll lose against Hanescu.

I didn't watch the match except the last few games but the stats for Djokovic seemed pretty good except the bps converted(6/18). W/UFE was 43 to 32. First serve was around 66%. 2nd serve points won was a bit low I thought. So it's surprising to see people thought he didn't play well. The commentators thought he played pretty well.

Nole is done. For his career. At best he has a few masters wins in him in the future in the right environmental conditions and the right draw.

Djokovic fitness is usually much better than he appears.

He gives the impression of physical exhaustion, but keeps going through the match.

Nole used to go to the dropshot when he got nervous. Now it's the only shot he has to end points, he's so weak from the baseline :o And the worst part is, he doesn't even have a good dropshot :o:o

Yeah but the stats indicate he had 43 winners and 32 unforced errors. Seems pretty good to me.

Edit: Just wondering. Anyway as long as he won, it's good enough.

The first set was real ugly. Very muggish from both. Nole was exhausted in 2nd set and went for his shots. Worked for him and thus the high winner number.

The hilarious thing is: Djokovic can't really play tennis right now, what he's doing on the court is not tennis. HOWEVER, his return is soo fucking good. It got him to a Wimby semi and now it wins him this match. Unreal.

Odd drama in this match, some long rallies, but Novak of course prevails. I thought Julien would pull through if he had held on to serve, but alas he didn't.

What happened to Novak's serve? He's barely getting any free points off of it these days. He really has to fight for every point on serve.

How impressive of Novak. He got to the semi's of Wimbledon, while the winner and finalist of last year didn't, playing some form, some illusion of tennis. That's talent, indeed.

He will find a way to defeat Hanescu.

I think Nole will, too. Probably and "hilarious"-ly while doing something on the court that is not tennis.

Have you ever been to New York in the summer? I'm from the sunny Spain and I've spent four consecutive summers in NYC and I've never been hotter in my life. The heat and humidity there is sometimes intolerable.

If he finds heat in Toronto is bad, wait until he gets to Cincy. The weather here is causing heat strokes and some of the ball kids at the WTA event were fainting the other day. They had to take a heat break during an 11pm night match :o

Novak played decent, considering his condition, those who think victor has a chance of winning are funny. Novak will make the semis at least, davy/verdasco are weak and have no chance either.

But Djokovic won the AO (the hottest slam), this event, and did well in these type of conditions in the past. Either his "condition" has gotten a lot worse  or he's a faker and a drama queen like his compatriot Jankovic. Difference is she's a woman, while Fakervic acting like he's going to die on court every match is pathetic :o

Actually when Nole won the AO, he played quite a few night matches and the weather was cooler than normal.

Considering his congenital breathing problems, which he has been unable to improve despite the most intensive cardio training since agassi, I think he deserves some respect for the excellent results he has achieved in not only masters tournaments but also grand slams. If breathing was not an issue for him, his GS tally would be 4 or 5 by now! :D Nice jab at his "compatriot" as well captain america-classic chauvinism! Keep representing!

Yeah that must have been some training, like his serve training with Todd Martin on both knees :haha: If Novak didn't have breathing problems, he wouldn't have won anything because he wouldn't be able to pretend to be dying on court and/or take fake medical timeouts to mess with his opponents :o

I like Jankovic because at least she's consistently a drama whore, rather than this faker who now pretends to be everyone's friend. Not that you care, the shirtless pic of Novak in your sig tells me why you like him and it's not tennis :inlove::wavey:

nole seriously needs to get his breathing situation figured out. he looks like he's having panic attacks out there and i almost get the feeling he could drop dead of a heart attack on court!! he needs to see some specialists and get a 3rd and 4th opinion because something is seriously wrong with his heart, his body. it is not normal for a young man in the prime of his youth to be having this type of problem.

Benneteau had him on the ropes and let him go. All he had to do was run Djoke from side to side a few points every game, would have been a cake walk.

Cincy is way hotter than Toronto --- extreme heat index now, with same weather pattern next week, so Novak better get some heat conditioning before then. Apparently he likes to train in the mountains, thinking that the altitude will help him when returns to sea level, but that does nothing to prepare for high temps and humidity. That's why Murray and other players train in South Florida, to maximize heat conditioning.

saying he's had joke draws is not trolling. It's just a fact.

I think the only seeds he's beaten in slams this year are has-been Hewitt, dirtballer Montanes (on grass) and Hanescu. Absolute scandal for a world number 2.

Was it "breathing problems" that made him remodel and ruin one of the best serves in the game?

nah, it was the same mental problems that make him look like he's about to pass out.

But why is that? It was only 26 degrees C when he played, not exactly hot compared to many other tournaments. The humidity was quite high, at 80 %. Still, he has played hotter matches before while not struggling as much as he did against Benneteau, which is why i'm kinda surprised..

During the match, the humidex was 38°C.

It's much worse in Mason, Ohio now where the humidex is 44°C :tape: Don't think Novak will survive if the condition continues next week there. :p
