Toronto R2: King David guillotines Robredo 6-3 6-0

David "True GOAT" Nalbandian's winning streak continues! :worship: Boredo was simply outplayed. Tommy tried making changes to his game but it made no difference, he got outwitted and outpowered.

Soderling is next. Should be a tough showdown. :armed:

holy crap. that was a bloodbath. some crappy careless forehands by Nalby, but the returning was just spectacular.

Decent by Nalbandian, but really shouldn't be losing any games to Robredo.
Will beat Soderling if he serves badly.

Destruction. To be fair to the Nalbandwagon, it is almost impossible not to start fawning over him when he is playing that well. Robredo is the ultimate cannon fodder for top players in form, gets back enough balls to make them look really good but doesn't make it so difficult as to expose any weaknesses. There are few players more fun to watch smack somebody 3 and 0 than Daveed.

Well, when Nalbandian is playing relatively well and Boredo is being awful, there is only going to be one result....

Orka_n, this sucks that Soda has to play Nalby in Round 16. I'm cheering for the winner of that match to win the Roger's Cup.

Totally agree. Nalby was on fire today. 86 % first serve, which is amazing. Sod will have a hard time against him if Nalby continues to play like he did today. It'll be an exciting match for sure though. Sod isn't exactly a bad player either. Nice to see Nalbandian doing so well in his comeback too.

Still, that was destruction.
Should be a good match against Soderking.

Impressive tennis from Nalbandian. That said, Robredo did only hit 4 winners.
I wonder if he can keep up this winning streak against Soderling.

If he indeed beats Soderling, it will be an even tougher match against Murray.
Can't see him winning against Soderling though, let alone Murray.

I really hate that Soderling and Nalbandian are having to play one another. I would like either one of them to beat anyone else in the field right now outside of Nadal, so it is really unfortunate that they are meeting in the 3rd round...

Malisse, De Bakker, Monfils.
Doesn't matter, he'll beat any of them
Thus, Soderling/Nalbandian vs. Murray.

Do get the feeling that the next really hard match is going to nail him physically. Really needed a bye today, quick short training session, so thanks due to Robredo there.

Should beat Soderling if he's physically OK, just an evil matchup. I doubt he can go 3 against Murray though.

Another stunning victory for David and due to the score it seems to be it was another amazing performance:worship:. Thanks Stephan for the stats :wavey:. According to them David 1st serve percentage was really good today. He is going to need of his first serve and all he produced on this week and in Washington to defeat Soderling.

I`m just wondering how tireness is playing at this stage. Unfortunately I`m missing every day match till Saturday :( so every detail post about David match will be more than welcome ;)
