With Nico injured and only available for doubles, this will probably be 3-0 for Romania. Could end up 5-0 Romania. I can't see the Lapentti boys winning the doubles.

Sad ending for Nico probably, I don't think he will stay for another year and actually I don't want him to.

Last year's tie against Brazil in Porto Alegre was a truly amazing experience but it should be very different this time. I'll support them anyway, who knows what can happen.

by the way, this is the location where they play, on National Centre of Tennis, Bucharest. arena with 3200 places:

Ungur plays like shit, he is in bad shape, I watched him in Brasov. Live Stream if you are interested:

it will probably end 4-1 for Romania if Ungur losses today, even the match isnt over yet. bad, bad shape Ungur, but he should be able to beat Endara...

Romania never actually wins their world group matches, but they always seem to get soft draws to be able to stay there. They have a decent team, Tecau is good doubles, Hanescu is very good in the D.C. atmosphere, Copil, Ungur, Crivoi are decent options. They have a team that can advance to the world group but isn't good enough in the world group to stick. Personally, I think they'll be back out next year unless they get a good draw again. But congrats to them on advancing through here.

 sad for the team.

Don't think we will see much more of Nico in action in the tour.

Congrats Romania by the way.

true, but this year, we can also meet India, Kazachstan, Israel or Australia if they also qualify... we qualified just once lately in QF against Belarus, in the last years we played against France 2 times, United States, Russia, Croatia, Sweden, only 1 game home we had.

but still, until this relegation, we stayed 16 years in the World Group!

how we promoted again.
