First, I doubt you've really lost 10 000 euros on this match.

If you actually did, 'the fuck we're you doing putting so much money on a first round CHALLENGER match? And on Polansky, who's been crap all year long?

The best bet here is and was Dancević @ 1.55+ with Sijsling. Canadian is very low in the ranks that WC here can make him raise in the ranks, and I think he will use this WC to go here deep in the draw. Value on Frank was very solid.

Got him at 1.60. Frank is always very solid here in Granby and he badly needs to get some point. He's been serving really good against Sijsling through the first set.

Wouldn't you say Bester is more overranked? He has one good week in each year and has been between 500 and 800 for three years with no real skill, where Milos had matchpoint against Gonzalez in a Masters event.

The more you post the more you seem like a bitter shitty Canadian tennis player, like Kamil Pajkowski or someone.

Don't say that because Levine last week played good tennis in Lexington and he had few very hard games, for example with Baker. Levine played a final match on sunday, so he was so tired and yesterday his loss wasn't so unexpected. Don't compare Levine loss with Polansky - Polansky really yesterday was a big mug.

i dont bet with 10 000 euros , it's my last tip to win 10 000 euros i bet with little money , second Polansky play good last few week and it's not important it's first round he play at home a expect from him to play semi final minimum here and should easy win against Jones who play nothing last weeks and 3rd it's *5-4 for Polansky in firsty set then they change to 40-AV Jones ...fukk all

Yes, but going up 5-2 in 3rd set....

He played several decissive games and a tie break awful. Above all because his rival is an old man as Suzuki who is going for a walk in USA and Canadá.

I'd say there's a very good chance they put him on center court if he faces a relatively known player here in America.

I have a question guys...

Capdeville used to be a good hard-courter 1-2 years ago, I remember him. He is kinda crap lately, but I still think he can be dangerous on this surface.

I wanted to take Raonic, but I think he is slightly overrated, no? I think you still live with the match against Gonzalez, guys, no? Because seeing his results, it seems he didn't improve or he is not even at that form from Montreal.

I am just wondering, somebody saw Capdeville and Raonic live in this tournament? I want to see if Raonic is clearly better or not as form. Because against him, a home player, I don't want to bet...

Raonic showed a lot of character in that third set. He was up a break at *4-3 and lost a game he should have won. Soeda then won the next game easily to make it 5-4 and put the pressure back on Raonic. He responsed with a love-game and did it again at *5-6. He was then down 1-4 in the tie break and played a great point at *4-3 to even it at 4. With the serve at 5-4 Soeda, he hit 2 aces in a row to get to match point and then hit a powerful forehand winner down the line on Soeda's second serve to secure a spot in the final. Great stuff from the young Canadian who should have a great career if he stays healthy. He's also well coached by former journeyman Frederic Niemeyer, who was very engaged in that match on the sideline.

As for Frank's match, well, it was pretty clear that he was bothered by his leg right from the beginning. Kamke played a pretty ordinary first set (altough he was pretty good at showing his displeasure to the referee about the serve-line linesman, who was horrible, and I mean horrible) but won it 6-2 anyway due to Frank's inability to move through the court fluidly. Frank looked pretty pissed that he couldn't play at his normal level and very frustrated when he retired at the end.

Tomorrow's final should be a good match considering Raonic's form. Kamke will have to play better than today though. If he doesn't, he will have his hands full with Raonic's baseline game and powerful serve.

Was this 3set match so hard for Roanic that tomorrow he could have problems with tiredness ? I think that after this match he should be exhausted and it could be his disadvantage in final. You saw the semifinal, what is your opinion ? And also - are there many people who support local players in this tournament ? Does Roanic has a loudly supporting ?

MrExpos
07-31-2010, 10:05 PM
I don't think Raonic will be tired tomorrow. He had a pretty easy week before his match today. His match against Capdeville lasted 46 minutes, and 65 against Salamanca. He didn't look exhausted at the end of the match. Also, he doesn't play a very physical challenging type of game.

As for the support, people in Granby (and in Quebec generally) are very supportive of the local player, and the stands (capacity of around 1000) are full for the entire week. But they are also very respectful of the player, and it's a not a hostile environment for the other player. But the support will be there for Raonic, no doubt about it.

Thanks a lot for the report and it's good to read good comments of Milos. Also great to know that Niemeyer is working with him, I used to enjoy his matches at the Canada masters (the one he defeated Kunitsyn was great). Seemed to be a good character when watching his matches against Brazil in the Davis Cup some years ago on TV.

Too bad Frank can't stay 100% healthy yet and good luck to Milos tomorrow.

Great performance by Raonic the whole week long with good victories over Salamanca and Soeda that helped him to reach his first Challenger tournaments final. Next Monday will be ranked close to the top 200 if he loses today. Otherwise will be close to 180.

Tobias is not having difficult matches and won where he was the favourite. And the one where he could had found more difficulties Frank unfortunately had to retire. If he wins today he will be ranked close to the top 85.

Pretty ordinary match from these two. Kamke should have won that second set way more easily. Raonic looked like he was nervous, altough he was getting better as the match advanced.

Good win for Kamke nonetheless!

Tobias is one of those players who, once they get their rankings at a safe enough number, are going to start shooting up the rankings. He's too good for challengers. The improvements he's made this year is remarkable. Congrats to Tobias. Good job to Raonic on the great week as well.
