The mens semi-finalists

Berdych is tall!... and can therefore crunch the ball. His game lacks any subtlety or imagination, yet he has spectacular timing and ability to hot huge winning shots. For me he isn't great to watch still, but I can see why others might like him. He is improving his game technically and mentally would appear to have progressed. Yet I say the latter with hesitation. To my mind he folded against Soderling at Roland Garros, where he hardly made a first serve in the final set. His match against Djokovic may provide more answers in this regard, but for me his win against Federer proved little. I was amazed by the ineptitude of Federer's performance and expect Djokovic to provide a much tougher test.

Djokovic is strange. If it's not the breathing, it's the back, or the chest or something else. He often has the look of someone who's providing himself with an excuse, yet other times looks like a real warrior on the court. I'm a huge fan, but frustrated by the collapse of his serve in recent years. His baseline game matches the best in the world and by that I mean Nadal. He attacks off both sides as effectively as anyone, moves and defends as well as anybody and can come to the net. To me he is a much more complete player than Berdych. If he returns Berdych's serve, I expect him to control the points and outmaneouvre his opponent. But he needs some easy points off his serve too, so that every service game is not a real struggle.

Djokovic to win in 4.

Nadal and Murray. I am too tired to talk about their games. I will only say that for me, if Nadal stays fit, his tally of Grand Slams won't be far off that reached by Sampras and Federer. He is as complete a player as I've seen regardless of what some people will have you believe about him. And his attitude and determination on court is the best I think I have ever seen - it certainly matches the never say die approach of Jimmy Connors.

Nadal to win in 4.

Berdych is my favorite for the title beating Nadal in the last match. I suppose Nadal will be very tired after 5-set thriller over Murray whilst Berdych beats D'Joke in relatively comfortable 4 sets.
