it was very good from novak...Lu had nothing in his tank but even if he had it wolud not mean much to him

Nole pray for Nadal in the final as Murrays legs might just be too thick

I hate you Roddick. Lu got embarrassed and he knows it. He couldn't wait to get off that court. Well done Nole, doing it the way it should have been done a few days ago!

Top knotch stuff from Nole, everything was working today. Luuuu never stood a chance, it wasn't until the third set that he was able to even get to deuce (once) on Nole's serve.

Great display of quality tennis from Nole, hope he'll perform well for the rest of the tournament.

Lu's run has ended but the results will hopefully push him on to become a better player.

Lu was not playing bad but Djokovic is smoking today. Whether Djokovic will keep the same level in SF is hard to tell.

2-0 for Djokovic and he hasn't lost a set...but this'll definitely be a different matchup if Berdych holds on.

Beatiful. The world's number two against Berdych in the semis. Two Eastern Europeans head-to-head in the semis of the Wimbledon, epic.

Would be really interesting if we had a Nole/Murray final. People have been predicting one for years and only now is it happening. adly for Nole, I think in that hypothetical match Murray's first GS is NID.

Lu played a 4+hr/5set match the day before, played a doubles game with Tipsarevic yesterday and today he had to step on the court of Wimbledon Quarter Finals which was the biggest match of his life...... I would eat my grandma's yesterday's breakfast if he thought he still had any chance to beat Novak in this case! Didn't see any brillance he showed throughout his match with Roddick, what a let down, but nothing but best wishes to him in the future and he's great to watch when he's on!

Novak was just being a solid Novak today, with Roger out and Soderling giving Nadal a hard time right now, Novak should not let this chance slip away... Novak beats Murry in the final!

Lopez

Well done Nole :yeah:

Seem to have improved your serve as well.

Go for the title! Though wouldn't mind a Söderling, Berdych or Tsonga win either. Nice options for me :yeah:

Nole's best chance is against Soderling, followed by Nadal. I think even against Tsonga he is favourite, despite his poor record against him, this year's Aussie Open was in his hands, but he lost due to other reasons. And yes, I would agree he would have it toughest against Murray, I don't like that match-up, at all.

Lu too tired to pose much of a threat. This Fakervic is too lucky. Hope Berdych puts an end to this fluke.

Love the headline "Djokovic stuns Lu" as if it were Lu who was ranked three in the world.

I missed the match but I'm happy to hear that Novak's game is finally back on. It's about time. :yippee:

Unfortunately for Lu, the problem with being a giant killer is you can't back up one big win with another one, so this loss was kinda expected. He had a great run here, will be interesting to see what he does on the summer hardcourts. Good luck to him.

Exactly, that's the difference between a good player and a Top player, consistency.
Nole was clynical today, he had a very good performance against Lu, though I must congratulate this guy for his impressing run and victory over Roddick.
Can I really hope for a Wimbledon final Nole?
Who would have thought, from their last results, that both Murray and Djoko would step up their games in time for the most important slam? :worship:

Good. I hate players who have nothing to lose and cause an upset and then lose big in the next match. Good riddance.

Like the word Duck-Slayer,in fact Lu's family runs chicken business.

Never expected anything from Lu,but he should be proud of himself for proving people wrong and making this far. :rocker2:

Count me as one of the many that laughed out loud at the title thread. This has been a lucky Wimby for Nole thus far, other than drawing his nightmare match-up Rochus in the First Round. This match went even better than I could have imagined and I like Nole's chances against Tomas. So Nole finally has a Final staring him directly in his view again, and of course at a time when everyone had finally completely written him off (including me).

Confidence can come in many ways....good fortune isn't a bad way for it roll into your life. Nole, take this title and ride that wave of confidence; you've put in all the hard work and been on the wrong side of luck so many times. Life is like that...it opens up for one many times when they have given up and stop looking for answers. It would be so cool to see you win #2. It is no accident that your level of play has suddenly hit stride too.....confidence is the key to everything and people may look back and say this was the time when everything came together for you.

Opportunity is here. You deserve it.
