Why Is Everyone Sleeping On Tsonga?

I know he may very well lose today, and he doesn't have much experience on grass but why haven't we heard anything about the Frenchman? Hell I've heard more about Berdych and Lu that I have heard about Tsonga the whole tournament. He has quietly made his way to the QF's. He has the game to certainly upset Murray and go even further. Here's to Tsonga doing work today!

losing 2 sets to Dolgopolov and a set to Benneteau? :spit:

Maybe cause his draw was muggish and lost sets against Benneteau en Kendrick. Dolgo nearly put him out.
But of course I hope Jo will win to Murray today.

Well, he's pretty heavy. I'd rather sleep on him than have him sleep on me. Then I'd be OVA.

Tsonga sucks, I thought he'd be great after he beat Nadal at Ausopen 08 but hes been a REAL letdown. I've lost hope in him.

He's made the most out of his draw, I don't see him going any further. That's why no one's talking about him I guess.

I'll be the first to tell you he had a great draw, but you make the best with what you are given. Tsonga has done that and he is in a QF for the first time at Wimby. The previous matches don't matter, all that matters is the guy across the net today Murray. He has looked good but I wouldn't necessarily say he is unbeatable. I think their match has the potential to be the best of the day. Hey, I'm a fan of both no dog in the fight.

Oh I'm 100% behind Tsonga and would love to see him go even further, though the thing is he's been playing well but not impressive, he's done enough to justify his seeding. Murray winning in straight sets is the only way I see it, sadly.

Clownga matters to no one.

Tsonga is such a loose cannon that we never know which tsonga will show up.. I do think he's got a very good shot at getting to the semi's if the right JWT shows up.. It's pressure and tingle time for murray. Be fun to see how this plays out.

Well he's still in the tournament so he's got more of a chance than 120 other players who started.

The past doesn't matter now but he's gonna need to step it up. If he does, he's got a good chance of beating Murray. If not, he's done.

Tsonga can beat Murray if he serves well. I don't see Murray as an overwhelming favourite today.

Because he's terrible and rode a ridiculously easy draw to the Quarters where he will be smashed. :)

My boy's problem is second serve returns ... He stands too far back on 2nd serves. Murray has a powder puff 2nd serve. He's definitely going to go to Tsonga's backhand. Tsonga needs to step into the court & take it early. That's what Roddick did to Murray last year to perfection. If Tsonga changed that 1 aspect of his game & served big with controlled aggression so he doesn't hit too many unforced errors, it would be him beating Murray in 3.

For me, Tsonga has not been able to reach his AO 08 level, and has used his talent to maintain top 10 results without doing anything extraordinary since then. Hope he uses this great opportunity to up his game at a tournament he has the game to win, would be good for the game to have an attack minded player win.

I like Tsonga, and in a way I'm wondering the same things. Either way please beat Murray. :)

Tsonga sleeps on himself; he goes to LaLa Land during his matches. Murray for the win. Anything else is a surprise.

this is exactly why you can't cheer for a guy like tsonga. He just lets down his fans with such lame efforts

I love it when non-fans speak on behalf of fans.
