Wimbledon R3: Djoker de. Montanes 6-1 6-4 6-4ossie 06-25-2010, 01:54 PM the djoker seems like hes solid again raahaat7 06-25-2010, 01:55 PM So easily in the third round? alarm bells! zeleni 06-25-2010, 01:57 PM Good win for Nole. :D AndyUK 06-25-2010, 01:58 PM Very good performance from Djokovic and just what he needed after the previous two matches. Montanes wasn't up to much today. arm 06-25-2010, 01:59 PM Either Montanes is a really bad receiver or Nole's serve is looking a lot better. straitup 06-25-2010, 02:00 PM Djokovic looked much better today...keep on going Nole fan 06-25-2010, 02:00 PM Novak. :woohoo: He's playing his best tennis so far, he should get back his confidence soon and then fear him all... arm 06-25-2010, 02:03 PM Novak. :woohoo: He's playing his best tennis so far, he should get back his confidence soon and then fear him all... Let's not get ahead of ourserlves. :tape: Big_Juicy 06-25-2010, 02:03 PM Good performance from Nole but I am not putting too much hope on him just yet. I think the first two sets he was great, and then dipped in the third. You can say I'm maybe being too harsh, but it's happened one to many times with him where he mentally goes away and falters. Looking forward to more consistency from him.. tektonac 06-25-2010, 02:11 PM good win and decent performance, but he'll need much more in the coming week. PiggyGotRoasted 06-25-2010, 02:12 PM Whoever comes out of this quarter will win asmazif 06-25-2010, 02:19 PM haha, loved the mimicing of throwing his bag full of rackets into the crowd :D Big_Juicy 06-25-2010, 02:20 PM Novak determined to bring up an entire nation in sorrow due to the world cup.. shuhrat 06-25-2010, 02:34 PM haha, loved the mimicing of throwing his bag full of rackets into the crowd :D And he said that he would take off his pants if he wins the whole thing here. ApproachShot 06-25-2010, 02:44 PM Call it a coincidence, but the form of Djokovic and Murray seem to have been a mirror image of each other in recent months. It's still early days in the context of the tournament but there is a strong chance at least one of them could upset Fed/Rafa were they to meet in the semis. Anyway, good to see Novak hitting some form. He's under-rated on grass in my opinion. vn01 06-25-2010, 02:45 PM Good win. Keep going Nole! yuri27 06-25-2010, 02:47 PM Call it a coincidence, but the form of Djokovic and Murray seem to have been a mirror image of each other in recent months. Anyway, good to see Novak hitting some form. He's under-rated on grass in my opinion. Let's see how both Murray and Djokovic will do when they'll face some decent grass court players before making hative conclusions like this. Mike_Hunt 06-25-2010, 02:50 PM Novak. :woohoo: He's playing his best tennis so far, he should get back his confidence soon and then fear him all... :rolls: Like anyone was ever afraid of Novak. coonster14 06-25-2010, 03:07 PM nice win for nole!!! :bigclap: really interesting to see how he plays against hewitt. kindling 06-25-2010, 03:09 PM WTF, Montanes had some get up lately, now he's just back to being joe average. Sapeod 06-25-2010, 03:37 PM WTF, Montanes had some get up lately, now he's just back to being joe average. So suddenly Montanes losing to Djokovic on grass makes him joe average?? :retard: :retard: Farrow 06-25-2010, 03:44 PM Hewitt and (presumably) Roddick will be a much bigger test for Novak, but his last two matches have been pretty good. Winner-UE ratio quite impressive, serving much, much better. I don't expect him to get past A-Rod, but it's encouraging that his form seems to be picking up. Nole fan 06-25-2010, 04:48 PM Call it a coincidence, but the form of Djokovic and Murray seem to have been a mirror image of each other in recent months. Anyway, good to see Novak hitting some form. He's under-rated on grass in my opinion. Yep, that's true. Murray and Novak are having parallel careers almost. It's just fortunate that they happen to be my favorite players as well. I'd love to see one of them lifting the Wimbledon trophy anytime soon, preferably Nole. :p Murray also displayed a very solid game yesterday, both have good chances. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, of course, you never know with these two. The real testers for Novak will be Roddick or Hewitt. Nole fan 06-25-2010, 04:50 PM So suddenly Montanes losing to Djokovic on grass makes him joe average?? :retard: :retard: That's the usual logic at MTF. Noleta 06-25-2010, 06:03 PM His Wimby starts newt Monday, against Hewitt.Nice to see he won in stright, not wasting energy:yeah: The Magician 06-25-2010, 06:20 PM I would like if Novak is finally starting to get his best back, but after 2 years of underperforming, especially at Wimby, I'm more cautious than that. Guess we'll see, but it would be good for the game if the #3 player in the world started playing like a top 10 player again. Nole fan 06-25-2010, 06:35 PM I would like if Novak is finally starting to get his best back, but after 2 years of underperforming, especially at Wimby, I'm more cautious than that. Guess we'll see, but it would be good for the game if the #3 player in the world started playing like a top 10 player again. You mean like #3, because he's been playing like a top 10 all these years. ossie 06-25-2010, 06:37 PM djoker will take out hewitt and roddick there i said it Noleta 06-25-2010, 06:48 PM djoker will take out hewitt and roddick there i said it Hope you're right,lol...:p The Magician 06-25-2010, 06:51 PM You mean like #3, because he's been playing like a top 10 all these years. Yeah you're right, he's been beating everyone he's supposed to and losing to who he's supposed to as well, which is the definition of playing like top 10. I was thinking about his awful loss to Safin 2 years ago but I guess his loss to Haas last year wasn't unexpected. Nole fan 06-25-2010, 08:28 PM Yeah you're right, he's been beating everyone he's supposed to and losing to who he's supposed to as well, which is the definition of playing like top 10. I was thinking about his awful loss to Safin 2 years ago but I guess his loss to Haas last year wasn't unexpected. If you don't play like a Top 10 there's no way you're ranked #3 in the world, believe me. As simple as that, say what you will, facts are facts. arm 06-25-2010, 09:46 PM If you don't play like a Top 10 there's no way you're ranked #3 in the world, believe me. As simple as that, say what you will, facts are facts. Actually, rankings don't lie, so if he is #3 (for so long) he is playing like #3 at least in consistency. I know it's a very weak #3, but maths doesn't lie, if he is #3 it's because he is the 3rd best player when it comes to win/defend points. Sure his form sucks, who better than his own fans to realize that, but maths is an exact science. Marc23 06-26-2010, 05:10 AM Sure his form sucks, who better than his own fans to realize that, but maths is an exact science. Yes,his form sucks, but than in what kind of form are players that he has beaten? born_on_clay 06-26-2010, 07:35 AM good to see Nole winning easily again :D | |
