Clever guy this Verdasco is . He was playing every week all day long for a month and who fucks rest of the season . Dasco can be proud of itself . Playing in Nice and than few long matches at RG saved the season for him . What else you can expect from great minds like Verdasco :worship:

After watching the whole match, Verdasco had troubles with his feet...and had a full injury time-out to treat them in the 4th set. But mostly, it just looked like he didn't have his head in the game. It really does suggest re-thinking his priorities to play so much this spring, then show up at the most important tournament of the year and have nothing left in the tank.

Fognini, on the other hand, played well. He didn't play his very best, I don't think...and as always had that 'casual' look of loping around the court. But he played thoughtfully...changed the pace on the ball often...and made passes (up the line, especially) when he had to. It's his first win over a top-10 player, and he should be proud.

I like his casual hitting of the ball, it looks like he doesn't care about it...however, he's a bit too casual at times, sometimes being almost booed off the court due to lack of effort. :unsure:

Actually, shaving was the only thing Fernando did well today.

If you've seen photos or video of him from the past week or so, his beard had been getting very unruly and out-of-hand. He had it trimmed up nicely today. But it did almost look like shaving used up most of his energy supply.

Not too surprising in hindsight. The amount of matches Fernando has been playing this year has clearly caught up to him. He was flat as a pancake today, he looked just like he did throughout the French. He is a guy who needs to take a long break now to recharge. Fabio did what he needed to do and kept it simple, he's definitely maturing, congrats to him on the win today.

I saw it, and it was basically unwatchable and completely shocking and an embarrassment, but it was sort of like that train wreck you couldn't stop watching. He almost won the match too, which made it even more interesting, it took Mecir to come back to win that match, with Fabio looking like his head was in Italy.

Anyway, although he'll likely never fully change his ways, at least Fabio is starting to win some matches in GS events (and in general) when he needed to in the worst of ways.

He was going to play Queens, but had to withdraw due to an injury. The exo was later, so he figured he could get some practise on grass and the same time relax and recover from the injury before the exo. It makes sense actually.

Too bad the injury resurfaced during a slam, but well.. He lost. Time to relax and hopefully get better from the inujury too.

Very dissapointing, to think I actually taught he would make it far here. He had a great draw and F.... it up big time. Very dissapointing, Nando is a very talented guy but his attitude is what has always kept him from taking the next step. Hopefully this does not effect his confidence too much. A great start to the season is now turning sour. I hope he turns it around. I don't think his injury is that serious, its all in his head.

He is(he has proved in the past that he can play on grass), the problem is that Fernando is unpredictable, he can lose to anyone on any surface, when he is bad, he is really bad. I am talking terrible.:o
