Fognini shouldn't be winning 64% of his 2nd serves to anyone on grass. viruzzz 06-22-2010, 07:21 PM Yeeeeees!!! He was playing every week all day long for a month and who fucks rest of the season . Dasco can be proud of itself . Playing in Nice and than few long matches at RG saved the season for him . What else you can expect from great minds like Verdasco :worship: TMJordan 06-22-2010, 07:25 PM Good for the game. alter ego 06-22-2010, 07:25 PM Good for the game. Xristos 06-22-2010, 07:26 PM Wow. simplet 06-22-2010, 07:27 PM only saw the tie-break of the third and the last game of the fourth, and Verdasco looked like he didn't give a shit. Fognini didn't look like he cared that much either. oranges 06-22-2010, 07:27 PM Losing to Fognini of all people on grass? scoobs 06-22-2010, 07:28 PM I can only conclude Fer is still feeling like he's overplayed and a bit burnt out. His schedule over the spring was absurd and now he's paying the price. Sophocles 06-22-2010, 07:30 PM Epic fail from Verdasco. Idiot. Dini 06-22-2010, 07:32 PM Apparently this ends Nando's R2 streak. Does anyone know how long it was? DanaKz 06-22-2010, 07:33 PM I can only conclude Fer is still feeling like he's overplayed and a bit burnt out. His schedule over the spring was absurd and now he's paying the price. And he is not 21 as Querrey on US Open Series last year, he cannot say it is because of his unexperience. Fernando :cuckoo: CooCooCachoo 06-22-2010, 07:33 PM  Losing to Fognini on grass is embarrassing for almost any Top 100 player, let alone Verdasco. But mostly, it just looked like he didn't have his head in the game. It really does suggest re-thinking his priorities to play so much this spring, then show up at the most important tournament of the year and have nothing left in the tank. Fognini, on the other hand, played well. He didn't play his very best, I don't think...and as always had that 'casual' look of loping around the court. But he played thoughtfully...changed the pace on the ball often...and made passes (up the line, especially) when he had to. It's his first win over a top-10 player, and he should be proud. gaitare 06-22-2010, 08:23 PM Ullyett knows his shit. MalwareDie 06-22-2010, 08:25 PM  I love this. osmonde 06-22-2010, 08:57 PM Verdasco played at Boodles exho until Saturday final... To many games lately...one month off will just do him good. Mateya 06-22-2010, 09:10 PM Fog is a different player since that epic win against Mugfils at RG. I like his casual hitting of the ball, it looks like he doesn't care about it...however, he's a bit too casual at times, sometimes being almost booed off the court due to lack of effort. Verdasco's schedule is one of the world's biggest misteries. Bagelicious 06-22-2010, 09:46 PM Foggy the GS killer :worship: Took out Clownfills in Drama at the Fo and today he knocks out this Bum "no kidding did you see him":o Mugdasco and saves Tennis   Although it's not much of a surprise, this result still has me :haha:. Maybe he shouldn't have gone to that wta pre-wimbledon party where he danced the night away...:tape: Persimmon 06-22-2010, 10:21 PM :spit: Pirata. 06-22-2010, 10:24 PM 190 points in 2 Slams after that uncountable 150 from Nice ouchh Nando:wavey: Fernando :o Finally gets an easy draw and what happens? He aggravates his foot injury and loses in the first round. Lovely. :( viruzzz 06-22-2010, 10:26 PM Oh fuck u Fernando! At least Tsonga will probably make the Semi now :D May god hears you... This is the "Tsonga moment". KarlyM 06-22-2010, 11:03 PM This is disappointing. :( 190 points in 2 Slams after that uncountable 150 from Nice ouchh Nando:wavey: **shakes head** leng jai 06-22-2010, 11:21 PM The Nando tards saying he was an all surface player... Ales_Alessandra 06-22-2010, 11:56 PM  Whatever! :p tektonac 06-23-2010, 12:08 AM nando looked tired, didn't have energy to shave like a pro. Matt H 06-23-2010, 12:40 AM nando looked tired, didn't have energy to shave like a pro. Actually, shaving was the only thing Fernando did well today. If you've seen photos or video of him from the past week or so, his beard had been getting very unruly and out-of-hand. He had it trimmed up nicely today. But it did almost look like shaving used up most of his energy supply. tennishero 06-23-2010, 01:37 AM great result for fabio.. almost placed small bet on him at 10/1 :( christallh24 06-23-2010, 02:25 AM :wavey:Nando. See'ya at Davis Cup. If he is playing DC, that is. Filo V. 06-23-2010, 03:19 AM Not too surprising in hindsight. The amount of matches Fernando has been playing this year has clearly caught up to him. He was flat as a pancake today, he looked just like he did throughout the French. He is a guy who needs to take a long break now to recharge. Fabio did what he needed to do and kept it simple, he's definitely maturing, congrats to him on the win today. Filo V. 06-23-2010, 03:23 AM you obviously haven't watched him lose incredibly unmotivated to mecir in kosice  one of the worst performances I've ever seen from any pro I saw it, and it was basically unwatchable and completely shocking and an embarrassment, but it was sort of like that train wreck you couldn't stop watching. He almost won the match too, which made it even more interesting, it took Mecir to come back to win that match, with Fabio looking like his head was in Italy. Anyway, although he'll likely never fully change his ways, at least Fabio is starting to win some matches in GS events (and in general) when he needed to in the worst of ways. raahaat7 06-23-2010, 03:38 AM Nando needs to take some rest. I_Dasco 06-23-2010, 03:54 AM He is just mad beacause he was playing in Court 12 and no one could paid attetion on him all day 2 So, if he had gone to 2nd Round , he would have just played in court 10+ and no one is going to pay attetion on him AGAIN, Pirata. 06-23-2010, 04:04 AM Nando needs to take some rest. He is a guy who needs to take a long break now to recharge. He just spent almost two and a half weeks in Madrid resting and relaxing and recharging  .-Federers_Mate-. 06-23-2010, 04:31 AM wow what a shocer. How the fuck did he lose to fognini on grass?, so dissapointing. propi 06-23-2010, 06:58 AM COngrats Fabio :bounce::bounce: Navratil 06-23-2010, 07:35 AM Expected What?? Fognini is one of the most defense players in the top 100! Playing the lefty Verdasco I never thought he would have a chance. Big, big upset!! But nice win for Fognini after the great French-Open! Deivid23 06-23-2010, 07:42 AM Funny match. Verdasco´s brain looks fried again. Idontgiveafuckini played well though. Props to him Elena. 06-23-2010, 07:46 AM Good.Fognini is the only Italian player i like,as i already said,at least he has some personality unlike the others. .-Federers_Mate-. 06-23-2010, 07:58 AM Expected how on earth was this expected? Acer 06-23-2010, 08:22 AM Thank you Fabio Mimi 06-23-2010, 08:46 AM He is just mad beacause he was playing in Court 12 and no one could paid attetion on him all day 2 So, if he had gone to 2nd Round , he would have just played in court 10+ and no one is going to pay attetion on him AGAIN, Henin was also playiing in court 12  FormerRafaFan 06-23-2010, 09:23 AM Verdasco pays the price for not playing a warm up event other than an exhibition. He was going to play Queens, but had to withdraw due to an injury. The exo was later, so he figured he could get some practise on grass and the same time relax and recover from the injury before the exo. It makes sense actually. Too bad the injury resurfaced during a slam, but well.. He lost. Time to relax and hopefully get better from the inujury too. gorgo1986 06-23-2010, 09:25 AM Very dissapointing, to think I actually taught he would make it far here. He had a great draw and F.... it up big time. Very dissapointing, Nando is a very talented guy but his attitude is what has always kept him from taking the next step. Hopefully this does not effect his confidence too much. A great start to the season is now turning sour. I hope he turns it around. I don't think his injury is that serious, its all in his head. Good win for Fabio and good luck to him in the next rounds. Bargearse 06-23-2010, 09:26 AM He is just mad beacause he was playing in Court 12 and no one could paid attetion on him all day 2 So, if he had gone to 2nd Round , he would have just played in court 10+ and no one is going to pay attetion on him AGAIN, I'd certainly be paying attention to him no matter what court he was on. :hearts: gorgo1986 06-23-2010, 09:30 AM The Nando tards saying he was an all surface player... He is(he has proved in the past that he can play on grass), the problem is that Fernando is unpredictable, he can lose to anyone on any surface, when he is bad, he is really bad. I am talking terrible.:o | |
