Completes the perfect 10 for Oscar. 10 straight Grand Slam losses. At least he's made the main draw of Grand Slams 14 straight times.

Dodig, the croatian number one at wimbledon. :rocker2:
Querrey next unfortunately...

Do you imagine what Querrey would do to Oscar? I think it would be close to triple bagel, something like 6-0 6-2 6-1.

Still some way away from the Carlsen record of 30 (I think) 1st round losses at slams. Not consecutively, though.

Gutted that the King lost.

He wants to focus on Braunschweig

At this point of the situation, the question really is how much longer can Oscar hold on before retirement basically becomes an inevitability. If he loses early at Braunschweig his ranking is going to be in the toilet. I can't believe how far he's collapsed this season.

Come on Eeyore.

Sorry, I know you don't like the gloom and doom attitude. I'm really scared for him though, that his career may be ending. He has had a good run the last 7 or so years being near/in the top 100 all that time, so I guess we'll see what happens. I will always support him no matter what.

Every player declines it's part of the cycle.

True. I guess the part that upsets me a bit is, is he declining because he's just naturally losing ability, or is he declining because of injuries. It would be harsh if injuries are what took him out the game. The thing that is optimistic is that he shows flashes in a lot of matches, but he hasn't put it all together. So I still believe a good run is in him.
