For a short guy, this Berankis is really good. He served very well for someone his size. Really effective against the more fancied Ball and fun to watch. :clap2:

Ricardas just totally outplayed Ball in the first two sets, Carsten was coming to net on weak approach shots and getting passed easily, and was horrible from the baseline. Ricardas got passive in the last 2 sets but Ball made to many mistakes, and Ricardas' return of serve helped him throughout the match.

Very impressive, he'll likely play Feli which will be difficult, but he's had a successful tournament already.

Yeah, he has a very good serve for a short guy, like Grosjean per instance in that way.

Fine performance. Even more impressive was that when his opponent woke up, Berankis he was able to halt the momentum and take the tiebreak - youngsters usually lose from that situation.

Really good win for Berankis. You have to love the way he hits the ball; the sound coming off of his racket all match long was amazing with his pure and clean hitting. It's too bad that this guy is short playing in today's game because he has some real talent.
