I would totally fancy his chances in the 3rd round, but my female intuition is a big failure when it comes to Kohli.

i say he can beat Roddick if his first serve was that of the 2008 AO match. I remember he served 32 aces in that match. Also, last year, I think Kohli gave Federer a tougher match than Roddick. Federer really had to play some amazing stuff against Kohli to pull that match out.

You don't miss much if you can't find a stream. Thanks God he woke up just in time in the last 2 games of the 3rd set, he had been playing some terrible tennis in sets 2 and 3. UE galore, poor returning, no rhythm on his serve... The last 2 games were really good, though.
Starace is just looking frustrated atm, let's hope Philipp will take advantage of it and take a big lead.

The German commentator said that his coach isn't in Wimbledon, he's there with his condition trainer and his gf only. It's fine if they don't want to travel together all the time, but his coach really should be there during the Slams at least.

The serve and especially the returns are much, much better now.

I didn't see much of the first set, but he looked OK to me. Then I decided to follow the "last 2 sets" - and he started playing terrible tennis. ^^

I hadn't realized that the English version isn't really the translation of the German version. In German he explains that it gave him a bit of trouble to play the last match of the day, it had been a very long tennis day and it's hard for him to keep up the tension for the whole day (I guess the earliest he plays, the better for him, it reminds me of that other interview a few months ago when he said that he wakes up early and can't wait to play then - 2nd match of the day tomorrow, it should be better).
But he's happy with his overall performance except in the 2nd set. The idea was to be more aggressive and he was able to put it into practice.

He wrote a few words on his website right after the match. He's glad people were cheering for him.

Not too good, TBH, I was more confident when I saw the draw. He just couldn't find the court with his returns during one set and a half against Starace. And he seems to say that he played worse in the second round...

But Roddick also doesn´t seem to be as good as last year in Wimbledon so I think maybe Philipp has a chance if he really fights (again).

He talked a little about the coaching issue after the Roddick match and said he's looking for a new coach. He also wants to leave the TennisBase where he's been training for so long, he says maybe he had settled a bit too much into a routine, he wants to try something completely different, have a change of scenery and work with an experienced coach.

I haven't read/heard anything about it since then, maybe it's already old news.
