:bigcry: Poor Gilles, but it was a good effort just to make the quarters, welcome back.

The boy gets hate on this forum for the most retarded reasons. :retard:

Expected result given Gilles' form. Hopefully his serve at Wimbledon will be better. LLodra played well and deserved the win.

Simon was taking it very easy, clearly more worried about his body than the result.

Good stuff. Llodra should win the tournament.

Simon tanking so he can win Wimbledon (taking out Federer along the way) ;)
Istomin is probably winning this tourney now

I think Dolgolopov will win the tournament.

Llodra certainly has the game needed to be a top player. Which begs the question: Why has he never reached the top 30?

Because there's only so much you can do on grass and indoors?

because there are only a couple grass tournies left.

maybe you understand now why grass seeds are needed.

:retard:
We don't need this kind of posts over and over again.

Gilles
Watched the second set...Llodra has just too much variety, rushes to the net all the time, gives him almost no rythm, making Gilles a bit frustrated on the end.
Even if he was 100% healthy, would probably lose. That's why their H2H is 5-0 I guess.

This surface is the worst for Gilles to play Llodra. You could kind of see this result coming.

There should be more tournaments on grass.

this is the textbook definition of a bad match-up ;)

Still, I think Simon was taking it easy, no need to get injured yet again being so close to Wimbledon

Because he only turns up for one tournament a year :-) Useless in slams too.

Pirata.

Gilles  Still, quarterfinal coming off of a big injury layoff is a good result and he can be proud.

Great win for Mika

Saw this match, Llodra played well, Simon played... well how u would expect a guy who hasn't played for quite a while to play.

Still Gilles  Llodra :yeah:

Not a bad first tourney in a while for Simon...hopefully he gets some good practice, competes well at Wimbledon, and then starts to get into the routine again at the part of the season where he played amazing...the summer hardcourts

Simon did not have a long career...

Llodra and Mahut - two French players who would have higher rankings if there was an actual grasscourt season. Hopefully they can both perform at Wimbledon too.

I reckon that Gilles would be happy to win one match at Wimbledon. Good effort from him in his first week back.
