Bernard Tomic
Tobias Kamke
Jesse Huta Galung

i think it depends on the draw but

martin fischer, ricardas berankis, bernard tomic, nicolas mahut, marsel ilhan, jesse witten and carsten ball can get some wins/a win.

Mahut if he's not too tired. Tomic. Maybe Dent.

Berankis is the real deal for me, could get a scalp or two depending on the draw.

As a Lithuanian i must bet for Berankis, he plays very well on the grass at the moment, won nottingham challenger two weeks ago, and drop only 1 set in 8 matchs.

Agreed. He is playing by far the best tennis of any of these guys.

Fischer I think is going to be dangerous. He likes grass and he's been playing well.

Mahut obviously is the most dangerous, and I wouldn't rule out even a 4th round/QF run if he is fresh enough to continue his fine form.

I think Ball has a chance to make the 3rd round or so.

Berankis I think can win a match or two depending on his draw, and he's the most talented of the guys who qualified.

Kendrick, Bozoljac, Tomic, Dent, Ilhan and Alcaide (because of his serve) all have a chance to win a match also, depending on their draws. The rest should be first round losers.

Quite surprised at Kamke and Dodig qualifying.

Alcaide, Mahut, Fischer and Berankis could all be dangerous, Alcaide because of his serve mostly. The other 3 play well grass and are playing well.

Kamke had a pretty easy draw really. Levine sucks now and Tobias is in good form.

Dodig has a good serve and decent net/baseline ability, he's not great but he has a game that can play well on grass. Neither likely will win a match in the MD unless they play someone horrible on grass.

I agree about your dangerous guys, I really think Fischer could do some serious damage.

dodig was down 2 sets to 0 vs. peya in the last round of qualies and came back :worhsip:

I think 2 the most dangerous floaters are Fischer and Berankis...lithuanian is on 8 match winning streak on grass, winning challenger on grass a couple of weeks ago, and austrian is playing very well for a past few weeks as well. Usual suspects are Mahut and Dent of course ( only if frenchman will have something in the tank for a MD)

Mahut :rocker: He'll get enough rest till at least Monday to be dangerous.

:yeah: to Dodig for making the MD. If the draw is kind enough, he can win a round with that big serve and solid groundies.

Exactly who are the mugs then? I am rather surprised that Kamke and Witten qualified, but Kamke is in very fine form and Witten is not cut enough slack on here.

Former world no.21, 4R at Wimbledon.
I think his presence is justifiable.

Guys, is there a live stream of the draw?

BodyServe
06-18-2010, 11:00 AM
SIX who are in the draw

Levine (LL)
Sweeting (LL)
Delgado (LL)
Reister (LL)
Koubek (LL)
Soeda (LL)

That's pathetic to choose 6 out of only 8 players.
Come on, choose them between ALL losers.

If there are further withdrawals before start of play (Almagro?), how do they choose the next LLs? Will it be Begemann / Ventura, or is it open to the next-ranked, too?

And what happens to the seedings, in that case?

then there is no reason to try and get to the 3rd round of qualies at all.

I would put a coin on Berankis (awesome results recently), Ball (reached RG 2nd round recently) and Mahut (usually good on grass).

Of course, they will need a bit of luck and avoid a 1st round against angry & hungry Federer...

there's a rule to it. If there are seed players in the last round qualies who do not win, they go in order of their rankings for LL. If there are no seeded players left in the last round of qualies, it is a random draw between the remainder of the last round losers

I always thought it was the way it is here (random between the 8 or 4? highest ranked) regardless if there is seeded losers.

There were some great and other surprising victories on the last round of the quallies like:
* Carsten Ball against Gilles Muller
* Dodig against Peya
* Alcaide reaching the main draw!
* Witten beating Go Soeda
* This is great to see Tomic making it on the main draw after facing a difficult draw on the quallies. Although his draw was not that difficult it`s good to see Berankis in the main draw too :clap2::clap2:

Witten peaks only for slams. :worship:
He is 12-3 in GS matches starting last USO.
Big problem for him is that he can't even win a match at a Challenger. :o

If this continues, they'll have to start picking LLs from second round losers in qualies. Must be a record

Yeah, I've never seen this many LL's.

I think Bozolijak will win against Massu. Bozo's got a big serve. He's somewhat of an underachiever. Massu will fight but grass just isn't his thing. Bozo will face Federer in round 2 and while he won't win, he'll bomb some serves.

Whitten looks like a fat club player, but he has game. It depends on who he draws.

Ball is dangerous. He should win a round.

good job from Dodig

he is a fighter he played 5 set matches two times in his life and won both when 0-2
Money is a big problem for him though...hes not young anymore no sponsors or serious coaching staff...traveling,hotels,coach and tax eats up his ATP money and he fixed some matches to build up his budget...cant blame the guy but hes pretty religious...must be as hes form the same town in Herzegovina as Cilic...very religious people with high moral standards there so i was abit surprised at first when i saw him fixing but can understand it

Santi got pretty lucky after all. Playing Beck whose difficult but beatable, and then Gael/Leo in R2 is difficult but also winnable.

Now with the draw being out, Ilhan has a really good shot at a R3 at least with the draw he has. Fischer should have a decent shot at R3. Mahut got a bad draw with tough players throughout, unfortunately. There are several Q v. Q/LL so it's a good opportunity for those players to get points. Several other qualifiers have very winnable R1 draws.
