Thomas Enqvist and Yevgeny Kafelnikov are Indoor Monsters supreme :D

Tommy Haas
without Richard Krajicek, Goran and Scud

Tim Henman **cough cough**
even the Linus

Jarkko Nieminen has also complied a nice carpet record, although I don't think he's played tour-level carpet yet.

I think that TBE just abuot covered it :)

Despite his form this year, Kafel has done nothing to erase his "indoor monstor" status :D Though if he loses to Alex Kim in straights on carpet in the next month or two I may have to change that ;) ;) He's won the Kremlen Cup - that is the one right? - how many times in a row? 4? 5?

I call Carpet or Indoor Specialists as "indoor monsters" ;)
a much better term :)

Pete Sampras was also very good in his time at his best indoors.

Pete dominated carpet just as he did grass so I'd say Pete, Kafelnikov, Andre, Corretja, Johansson, Hewitt, Enqvist and Safin would be the top carpet players.

That's because there aren't many tournaments played on indoor carpet.

And Becca, Zhenya's won 5 Kremlin Cups in a row :)

As the others said, Kafel, Enqvist, Safin, Haas and Henman are very good.
No one mentioned Max Mirnyi, though. He played extremely well last year, and reached his first final in a TMS played on carpet.

Max 2001 Carpet record:
Moscow - 1st r- Lost to SAFIN(75 46 46)

Lyon - 1st r- Bt Schuettler (46 64 63)
2nd r- bt Arazi (76 62)
Quarters- Lost to SAFIN (62 46 46)

Stuttgart TMS - 1st R- bt Rochus (76 62)
2ns R- bt Kuerten (46 76 64)
3rd R- bt Ivanisevic (63 67 76)
Quarters- bt Sampras (64 62)
Semis- bt Kafelnikov (76 63)
Final- Lost to HAAS (26 26 26)

St Petersburg - 1st R- bt Novak (60 76)
2nd R- bt Rusedski (76 64)
Quarters- Lost to SCHUETTLER (57 36)

Paris TMS - 1st R- Lost to HRBATY (26 67)

RECORD 9-5, one final, two quarterfinals.

Pretty good. And he is doing a lot better and is a lot better ranked this year. Ill keep my eyes open. ;)

given Haas, Kafelnikov, Johanssen's injuries, Enqvist (who knows what is going on with him) and Pete, Andre, and Lleyton's reduced schedule, I guess the way has been cleared for Max to break through this season.

Now for a question that jas nothing to do with the topic: Has US TV ever shown a match with Paradorn S. I have yet to see him play.

Yes. I saw him at Wimbly against Agassi, and in the semis and final at Washington.

Corretja might have won ATP World champs in 1998 indoors but no way his he an "indoor monster"

any decent indoor player would love to face Alex in rd1 indoors
