No stream probably to save us from this epic fail of a match.

Good luck against LLodra you need it ;)

Epic fail from Kuznetsov, terrible. Should've beaten simug, and what the hell was the first set? 6-1??? :retard:

Yet another Simon win in a final set tie-break (he had so many of those in Madrid in 2008). He needs to cut back the number of double faults though. Saving 6 out of 7 break points is pretty good though.

Even have you seen Kuznetsov playing ever?
This is just his 3rd ATP tournament and first this year and he earned this by himself, which is already impressive. What did you expect from him?

There's only positive things for Andrey to take from this match and tournament. :yeah:

epic fail?

the kid did a great job here, he pushed gilles simon who is a former world number 6 to the very brink. He also showed great spirit when he was 4-5, 15-40 down and fought back from that deficit.

and as for the first set he was obviously nervous

andrey can take nothing but positives from this match

Honestly, i'd advise everybody to just put that Glory poster on ignore even if you don't use it. Some trolls are funny/interesting but he's just a POS, really. Good riddance.

And well done Gilles, grinding through these matches! I hope it gives him some confidence because from his press conferences, it seems he's still afraid to move.

Llodra should end this nonsense, especially as it's on grass.

Kuznetsov will be delighted by his performance this week. Looks like he fought toe to toe with Simon in those last two sets.

Hope Simon can put up a good challenge against Llodra on grass, as that would give him much needed confidence.

I'd love the SF "Dolgolopov - Simon"

Well I went to Eastbourne and watched this match. Simon made things difficult for himself, definitely shld have made a relatively simple volley on break point 4-4 in the 2nd to win in straight sets. In the 2nd set TB, as usual a lack of concentration and was way too casual, digging himself a big hole he could not climb out of. Simon was a bit lucky not to be broken in the 3rd set, came up with some big serves but also some mistakes from Kuznetsov and some lucky net cords :tape:

That being said, always nice to see how Simon has such great improvisation technique on his strokes and some nice variety. I was impressed by Kuznetsov as well, very good attitude and showed some mental fortitude out there, despite being completely outplayed in the 1st set, and made it into a highly competitive match that he had a chance of winning. Very good serve, very nice backhand and not too many faults with the forehand as well. Just need some more experience and some tactical training to improve his career. And not to mention, he's oh so cute and that six pack under his shirt :hearts:

And nice to see that the kid was really enjoying himself out there, had a little smile on his face when walking off the court. Seems like a really nice kid.

Do you two even care about tennis? Supporting players purely due to finding them attractive makes you fanboys, not tennis fans.

Hell, I'm straight, and even back in the day when I watched womens tennis I didn't support whoever gave me the biggest hardon. Pretty pathetic.

I've been playing tennis for many years. I won't speak for sammy other than to say he plays too and also does a lot more for the sport. So the answer -- if you want one -- is yes.

I don't support players based on whether they are attractive. There are plenty of handsome players on the ATP tour who I don't find attractive in the least. There are players I don't find attractive who I like more than players who look like models. I think Simon is good-looking and I like his personality and game as well. (Was the match report I just thanked someone for posting written in Teen Beat or porno style?)

If that makes me pathetic in your eyes, it's not my problem. As for not supporting whoever gives you the biggest WTA hardon, you're in the minority on this board (http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=161554).

They were just having fun :). Both Sammy and Guy are in a tennis-related professions if I'm not mistaken (Sammy is a tennis coach and he manages a tennis club). They appreciate Simon's tennis as much if not more than his other attributes, I'm sure of that.

BTW, thanks Knotty Fort for the report. It's annoying that we don't get to see the match. It's nice to know that it's a good match. I like this Kuznetsov, don't think I've seen him play before but I heard a lot of nice things about him and will now pay attention. He's only 19, and with a good mental fortitude he can go a long way, probably he'll do better than the other Jr. Wimby champ... in fact, he already did ;).

Give me a break. When's the last time Dent won anything, 2003? :haha:

And, oh yeah, Simon vs Federror H2H. Look it up.

Save the holier-than-thou attitude, buddy.

I'm glad he's winning matches now after suffering through that long recovery period.

It's going to take time to get back to his old match form, but these wins are going to give him some confidence.

Haters to the left, as always.

yeah, i have plenty of faves for lots of different reasons. so yes im every bit a fan of 'tennis' as you are. i just don't have a stick up my arse like you.

you can now go back to your better tennis fan attitude, i'll go back to running my tennis club, playing summer league matches, going to ATP tournamets and watching tennis on t.v. how i wish i was tennis fan, not just a fan boy lmao
