Do you think?

federer losing to hewitt in Halle is like nadal losing to, lets say verdesco or ferrer in Monte Carlo (or Barcelona) .... its really worrying... Though federer and his fans downplay the lost.... as always, he is no longer the clear favorite in wimbledon anymore.... don't fool yourself... (bad day in office, bad luck with net cord...)

It's more of Federer to Halle = Nadal to Queens. Three Wimbledon finals in three years, one of these times taking the title and claiming the Queens title as well the same year. Nadal is a great grass court player and he was the favorite to win Queens in my opinion.

What you're trying to say is probably - Federer is the King of Grass, Nadal is the King of Clay, so in case one of them is losing on their preferred surface, people begin to talk about it.

federer is the king of the slams.
nadal is not.

Its strange that you write both against Nadal and Federer.
In your posts.

I am not a Federer fan( so not downplaying anything) but I don't think losing in a final is that bad. He is one of the favorites to win Wimbledon.

Halle is Frauderer's personal bitch tournament that he sets up yearly. This year he couldn't even win it.

Roger losing to Lleyton Hewitt at Halle would be like Rafa losing to Juan Carlos Ferrero at Monte Carlo, ie someone who has a bad H2H, but is still very good on the surface, and has a Slam on it.

Federer to Halle != Nadal to Monte Carlo

the point is both tournaments are the first warmup tournaments of slam on respective surfaces... players are supposed to be fresh (most grass loving cow sucks on clay so they won't go deep in RG, and federer lost in QF in RG so he shouldn't be tired...)

and of course the field in halle is a joke... ok so MC is not a good one, how about barcelona?

Fed losing at Halle final could be like Rafa losing at Madrid final in 2009.:wavey:

Only difference is Fed is not injured so he will win Wimbledon.

Though... this could also mean Fed might lose early in Wimbledon? Like in QF? Like Rafa lost early in FO last year in R16.

so nadal losing to federer is like federer losing to hewitt..

Well done mate!

(in your logic hewitt should win wimbledon this year...)

No, not Hewitt.

What I'm saying is that Fed is the fave at Wimbledon BUT I wouldn't be surprised if he loses early...

Fed losing a lame 250 event with an extremely weak field is way, way more pathetic than if Rafa were to lose at Monte Carlo.

MC and even Barcelona have very strong fields. Halle was even more pathetic than ever this year. At least last year Nole played too. This year Soderling and Berdych were supposed to play but the only other Top player there was Kolya, who is total mug on grass.

No excuse for Federror to lose Halle (or Estoril), period.

You seem to have near to zero knowledge about who the decent players on grass are. Last time I checked, Hewitt was one of them but I guess even a former Wimbledon champ is a 'pathetic' player on the surface to you.

Remind me when it was that Federer won Halle dropping less than 3 games a match?

Federer doesn't care that deeply about Halle. Nadal does care though about Monte-Carlo. Not a good comparison. Especially since Halle usually has a poor field.

 Comparing the fields at a 250 to fields at a Masters 1000 and a 500 event in Spain where almost all the Spaniards will play.

Yeah very clever acknownledgement lets see.
Federer ( 6 time Wimbledon Champion/former number one in the world ) losing in Halle to Hewitt ( 1 time Wimbledon Champion/former number one in the world ) = Nadal (5 time Roland Garros Champion) losing to VerdAsco or Ferrer (both 0 times Roland Garros Champions, 0 times Roland Garros RU or SFlists / and both certainly never ranked even in the top 3 in the world) hmmmmm NOT REALLY THE SAME... This thread is a FAIL

I would not say that Federer is definetly going to win Wimbledon this year, but he is the favorite above anybody else in the field.

Is Hewitt that good???

let's see...

Federer, former world no.1, Hewitt, former world no. 1
Federer, 1 RG title, Hewitt, 1 Wimbledon title

Federer on clay = Hewitt on grass, no? if you think so, I have nothing to say....

Federer is panicking now.... you don't think? If he is not, its really time to retire....
