Yeah, I've always thought one in SA is long overdue. Upgrading the event in Buenos Aires would be nice. However, in order for that to happen it would be needed a whole upgrading of the South American circuit in general. How many top players would be willing to make the long trip to SA just to play 1 tournament?

Maybe it would be nice if they could make 2 MS in South America and get rid of the IW-Miami circuit. However, that's not happening in my lifetime.

I quite like everything how it is. Miami and Paris are my favorites so I'd keep them for sure.

Only thing I'd do is go back to the 2008 schedule with Madrid as an indoors event in the fall and Hamburg as a clay masters. And get rid of Shanghai. Those stands in Shanghai were so empty, it was embarrassing.

Cause, here we have a very beautiful stadium, and so much tennis fans.
I don't know if "A masters 1000" is the best option. But at least a 500!

You can't ask this question without asking which one should be taken away, with realistic considerations to the schedule.

With that in mind, I say exchange Cincy, move Wimbledon back a week if possible, and put a grass Masters somewhere in Germany. Or, reinstate Monte Carlo as a real mandatory Masters, and move Madrid to some other surface, city, and place on the calendar, not really fussed about where.

I say give Shanghai one more year before giving up on it. Perhaps a move to another Chinese city will work. If not, it's fair game, but it would be stupid to ignore the Asian swing in the Fall, that is an important tennis market.

Eastern Europe could add one; many male and female players come from those countries.

There should be a grass-court Masters & there should be a Masters in South America. I'm not sure it's either realistic or desirable to combine the two, however. I'd downgrade Indian Wells, making both that & Miami one-week tournaments, & move Madrid back to autumn as an indoor carpet tournament (replacing Shanghai - I'd move the WTF back there & put it back on carpet), then have Buenos Aires on clay after Miami, so the players travel from North to South America then back to Europe. Plus have Halle & Queen's as Masters in alternative years (if necessary putting Wimbledon back a week).

Move the Paris-Bercy masters to a German city with a suitable indoor arena, like the Color Line Arena in Hamburg or the O2 arena in Berlin perhaps?

No city should get to host both a slam and a masters event, while I would like to see Germany hosting a big tennis tournament again after Hamburg become an optional event last year.
