Lopez is a good grass-courter & has a shot if he plays the ball rather than the opponent.

Mark my words- Rafa will let Feli win! He will have 3 matches on grass and that's enough!

Lalo seems to be playing very well , this grass in queens fits his games greatly but likely He will won most of service point and games excepts the important ones and bye bye.

grass certainly gives an in-form Lopez a good chance at beating Nadal, but he'll likely bend over without much fight as usual  it's pathetic how the other Spanish guys seem to walk out on court so afraid and nervous against Nadal.

Sillyrabbit
06-10-2010, 08:10 PM
This "bending over" thing is really getting ridiculous, what exactly do people want to happen? For Nadal to be beaten regularly by the other Spaniards? Then what? "Yessss, Nadal now loses regularly to his fellow Spanish players, yay!

WTH are you talking about? You Rafahaters are idiots. I mean seriously.. A lot of players have played MUCH more than Rafa has. He usually plays one week and has one week off. This is NOT too much.

Feli has a better chance here and now to beat Rafa than any other place/time.

Rafa's tired, slightly injured (maybe). He played a long match today and this is a good surface for Feli.

I say Rafa in 3 but wouldn't be surprised if Feli won either. Vamos Feli!

While I concur that he should withdraw, this is grass though. That 3 setter didn't tire him out at all. It was still under 3 hrs.

Is Nadal even gonna play? He should withdraw.

Seems like he's desperate for points! Even the King of Grass... Roger Federer... took Halle off last year after winning RG. How desperate do we need to be for points?

I love how Nadulltards have the injury excuses ready for Wimbledon because of one 3 set match. This is the only way for a nadulltard to justify the losses of Nadal: chronic injury and constant paranoia.

Why do you spew your BS in every Nadal thread? Stop letting the man run your life.

Talk about tennis if you're a tennis fan.. Not how much you hate Nadal.. Jesus Christ, man.. You'd think he did something to you with the grudge you hold against him.

There have been like a dozen posts saying he should withdraw, or his last match was too long, or he has to beat Lopez quickly, all of which is crap. You'll never hear a Federer fan saying that, even when he is injured. It's even worse because it assumes Nadal is incapable of taking care of himself, or that some internet poster knows better than Tony and Nadal's caoching staff :wavey:

and sorry, but when has Roger had a chronic injury that has forced to forfeit a title defense or to retire in a Slam? Rafa's knees are too fragile and he's too reckless sometimes with them

There is actually a lot of truth in that. Many Rafa fans actually seem to think that they know better than Nadal himself (and his team) about the physical shape of Nadal and therefore seem comfortable enough to make judgments about when he should retire, withdraw or even tank... I've always found that odd to the extreme because I have never felt that way about any of my favourite players and what's more importantly, people in general have no way of knowing the real state of their fave player's psyque with a higher degree of certainty than the player himself.

There was even one Rafa fan who suggested that Nadal should have retired during this match which was even more surprising to me because I would never like to see one of my favourite players retiring. There is a certain degree of honour in finishing a match even though there are no real chances of winning it.

If Rafa plays like he did yesterday, Feli has a chance to win. Even on clay, which is Feli's worst surface, they have had some close (close when you're a playing Rafa on clay) matches. It's not like Rafa is terrible on grass, but Feli's game is pretty well suited to it, so even if he doesn't win, I can see him troubling Rafa.

If his serve is on, he stays focused, and the conditions are right, he could win this.

Well no one will admit to it. But it's hard getting up for these small events. And they probably are also thinking about their health.
