Who wins this? Grigor in 3, I think:worship:

given that they both suck lately it could go either way but i think i'll go with grigor in 3 sets

Hopefully Dimitrov. Lopez won't give him too much rhythm, and his slices may cause some problems for Grigor, but if he serves well, he'll have a solid chance.

funny how people still don't know about what a solid grass player he is, only because he's from Spain

Everyone knows he's a pretty good grass player. But when you're in a slump, you're in a slump.

Grisha will win for Bilbo

Come on Grisha! After watching him yesterday, it's clear that everything is there, it's just his shot selection and he needs to put more heavy topspin on his strokes.

I wouldn't say he was in a slump, only because he lost to Reister. He has these losses ever once in a while. He had two good tournaments this year, the rest solid or early losses, nothing spectacularly good or bad. Should be enough for Dimitrov.;)

Feliciano should win something like 6-3 6-4 but I can see Grigor making it close and taking it to 3 sets. But it's hard not to envision Feli winning.

What Feli does on clay, especially RG clay, should not be used as an example for his form.

HAd to vote for logic, hence Lalo in 2, though the Spaniard is perhaps one of the best possible draws for Grigor, considering the form and overall class of the seeded players right now.

It's been a while since Grigor doesn't have to play one of the first 3 seeded in his first match and after the first set against Bogo where he had to adjust a bit with the surface, he might be a dangerous oponent for Lopez.

The Spaniard's been underperforming in Queen's for 3 consecutive years, losing in first round to nonames pretty much, before winning a couple of rounds last year.

His game might look suited for grass, but imho he's best on hard, not that much on grass.

His lefty big serve can be a big advantage, though it also depends on the day, coz he's been doing some bad serving performances as well + the pretty much total lack of a BH won't help much, if Grisho sets the tactics right with his Aussie helper and aproaches the net more often.

Lalo likes to chip and charge but against a risky, though effective second serve, he might get himself into rallies, which isn't where he feels comfortable.

Overall, a solid, even average performance from the Spaniard should be enough for a win, though a mediocre one might get him in trouble.

Best of luck to Grisho and let's hope he'll amaze the world again after over a year of slumps

might be a multi TB situation

Lalo won all the 4 he played last year in Queen's, so he should be more clutch

Grigor doesn't look like a girl. The same can not be said for LaLo.

Hard to pick this one, Maybe Lopez in 3

I know the story of the match, Dimitrov will play good for a while, he will make problems to Lalo and lose in 2 or 3 tight sets.

I have no idea how this match will go. Perhaps Lopez to win in 3.

This bulgarian is problaby the most overated player in tennis history. I know that all users here in MTF have the right to have their favourite players, but this Dimitrov it's clearly that kind of player that it's a always promess, but never matain the level with the pros....

Given that he's almost 30, if he hasn't delivered to your expectations so far, he never will  Someone bump that thread when people were opining Federer's lack of success at 20/21. Not saying he'll necessarily grow into an out and out champion, and people like Forehander hyping him in that way actually annoy me, but frankly this is no better and you're at least 2/3 years premature.

I don't have nothing personal against Grisha, but still can't understand why so many people love him. Winning US Open in Juniors, doensn't make you "the next best thing" in tennis... Honestly, i don't think that Dimitrov will be even a top100 player. I think there are young players with a mutch brighter future the him, like Del Bonis, Tomic and Kei (although the japonese is a bit older)...

But let's see if the futere will give me reason or not...

Grigor will be a top 100 player. But his max his probably in the 20-50 range. He's simply not as good as many of his fans think, but his potential prospects aren't bad, he just won't be dominant.

Because, unlike Tomic, he's likable, both personally and for his game :p Of course winning juniors titles is not a guarantee of anyhting, but not having a breakthrough at 19 is not a sign of doom either, not in general and even less so for players whose game naturally needs more time. Perhaps he should go play Aussie challengers to impress you

wouldn't say Tomic has done an awful lot more, save for a GS win at the AO.
