This looked like a train wreck waiting to happen all match.

Youzhny just made way too many unforced errors. What was up with the drop shots?
He must have had made 1 drop shot from 10 attempts.

I never trust a one handed backhand player and Youzhny proved that again today.
Of course there are the exceptions, the ones who have mastered the stroke, but in general I'd take a 2 handed backhand player over a single handed backhand ANY day.

i'm not talking about 2006 UO, i'm talking about his last months, 0 sets against berdych, 0 sets against roddick and gulbis, losing against nalbandian and hewitt always at the beginning of tournaments, losing 2-0 to stakhovsky in doha, being seeded #3 and sucking against winning-nothing-since-2000 kiefer and so on

You've lost me. What the heck is 2006 UO? Should they make rankings based on three months, instead of a year? RG QF is a bad result because of one poorly played match against a very inform opponent? They should give penalty points for every sucky performance so that you can sleep at night? Murray, Djokovic and Federer will be delighted at the news. In short, you're full of crap and I still don't have my answer - who should be ahead of him.
