It was mediocre, but this season has been mediocre in general. I really hope something exciting happens during the grass season because this year is turning into a mugfest. :(

Yes, worst clay season ever, because Federer couldn't win anything.

Definitely a bore until the french. Then it started sucking again in the final.

Oh, the day has just ended. You have been gifted with the last Ultimate Mark of the Hata. You should feel yourself honoured.

I wouldn't say it was the worst ever...I wouldn't be able to name a worst ever, but it was impressive by Nadal. But, it was pretty sub-par...usually one of the MS finals is pretty good, and not that Fed-Nadal wasn't good, but it could've been a lot better and that should not have been one of the best European clay court finals..

Not really, because it was the return of dominance by Nadal, which was exciting to watch.

For Nadal fanboys and fangirls it was brilliant.

Actually this entire season from the end of the Australian Open has been pretty horrible. Half the top ten dealing with injuries, illnesses or mental issues, no sort of high-ranked competition. The best matches in the past few tournaments have been between guys ranked lower than the 30s instead of the top guys, who have been choking and falling apart from this injury or that ailment.

It's been great for guys like Ljubicic to make breakthroughs, but the quality of play from the top ten has been seriously lacking.

You know the clayseason sucked when you look back and see that Almugro was Nadull's main nemesis.

I like Rafa, but definitely the overall quality of the field has gone down somewhat these past few months. It's not that the lower ranked players have risen based on their own abilities, more like the top players have left a gaping hole for lesser players to fill. I've never been one to support the idea of a "mug era", but things are looking grim.

Not a great claycourt season in general, very few really memorable moments, unlike last year when we had the MC final, the Madrid SF, the RG 4th round, this year the only real talking point has been Nadal sweeping the board and looking fairly unpushed while doing it...

Nadal has no peers on this surface. While that, and his physical well-being continues, the clay season is going to be starved of real excitement unless you are a pure Rafa fan.

The French is usually the least exciting Slam, and there's only one great on the clay circuit, so no surprises really.
