Mahut will do well at Queens. Not Wimby though.

If he as fit and healthy, I would go with Kiefer.

Schuettler too, but he's past it unfortunately.

Becker might fancy his chances.

I think Feli has a good run in him. He may not be a grass specialist, but I think Gicquel has a good run in him on grass. Mahut is always dangerous on grass and seems to have good form. I can also see Kiefer doing something, but he has to show he is healthy first.

The fact the grass has slowed down and the bounce has gotten higher is a detriment to players like Fish, Dent, Llodra, Dustin, Mahut whose games is based on the serve. Guys like Rainer or Clement can do damage with their returns and ability to redirect the ball well and counter punch effectively.

Another guy to look out for is Roger-Vasselin. I can see him doing damage at Wimbledon, even though he had a bad loss today.

Yeah, that's a good one. Berrer too. I would say Zverev but he's playing terribly.

In Wimbledon? I wouldn't bet on it. Equaling his best R3 would be an achievement.

dont get me wrong, im a big ljubo fan but apart from his epic win on the dutch grass a few years vs peter wesells ive never been convinced he feels comfy on the grass.

a few years ago he was 2 sets up vs tursunov at wimbledon, he then got distracted but a person fainting in the crowd and lost in 5.

I remember that tursunov match, that was really bad. I dont know, last year he said he likes wimbledon most, but had to withdraw. Maybe this year he starts to s&v!

Ljubicic's main problem on grass is his slow reaction time/reflexes. He's not a terrible returner by any means, but with him not having much time on grass his slow reflexes hinder him, and he often struggles to position himself for a good return. Numerous mediocre servers have recorded excellent service stats against Ljubicic on grass for that reason.

Plus he dislikes the bad, irregular bounces (you still get them despite the grass being a lot firmer than it was before 2001) and the slippery surface, and his slow reflexes prevent him from getting to net quick enough.

He is much better and more comfortable on clay than grass.

I remember that. He had him where he wanted him but couldn't close out the deal.

He was on for a Nadal clash, and ultimately Nieminen came through the section.

Sadly Feli's head is on the clouds right now with all his personal stuff in Spain :o
I hope he can do well enough though.
I would like to see Benji Becker and Rainer shine this season.
Gasquet, if fine (as hard as it is, I know  ) could be dangerous too.

As people have already stated, the reason Ljubo struggles on grass if that he needs some time to be able to set up and execute his shots and game with his big ground strokes and poor reactions, and on grass he isn't allowed that time. It's easy to rush him, he has a hard time timing his shots, and it's easy to expose his limited agility. Also with the new slower surface, serve and volley play in general isn't nearly as effective, and Ljubo isn't an out and out S&V player anyway. So he's very limited in what he can do on grass outside of the serve.
