Rafatards are already making excuses for Rafa. He lost last year because he was injured. If he loses again this year, he may be injured? Get a life people. Soderling beat a HEALTHY Nadal last year. If you are not healthy, don't come to play. That's all I'll say. can anyone remember the last time Rafa lost and he didn't use that excuse? Pathetic human being he is.

He will get less free points on his serve as well. It's not all an advantage for Soderling in heavy conditions.

To say Nadal was healthy last year is pure haterade on your part, completely delusional, and a complete lie. Don't come to play? Athletes play through pain, that's like part of their job. Full-blown injuries are different, Rafa thought he could win regardless and didn't get it done, that's why he didn't make excuses.

If Rafa plays well, if he is healthy, if his mom and dad get together. Enough with the excuses. If he wins, I agree with you. If he loses, it won't be because he was injured, worried about his mom, or broke up with his girlfriend. See this is where we need to ban freedom of speech and accept the fact that Nadal will do anything, including cheating and making excuses to save face.

His shots have so much pace that, even if the balls slow down a little more after the bounce if the clay court is wet, he can produce winners without problems even if it's raining. The experts say the same thing.

Well that's stupid. Granollers is not a top player, while Soderling clearly is. That loss to Granollers was a one of, and he was returning from injury.

Granollers over Soderling = Soderling's injured.

Soderling over Nadal = Nadal 100% healthy (quitted from Queen's & Wimbledon losing #1 in the process and so on, but who cares?)

Interesting comparison :haha:

Plus, in this case, his opponent main asset is his wild topsin. If the court is wet the ball won't rise as much as Nadal would want.

Bingo. Thats why federer, djokovic matches in hamburg are more competitive than the matches in MC.Without nadull high bounce & topspin soderderking could just wine-up a blast the ball all day against nadull & keep him on the defensive. Bad news Sunday for the moonballer.

That's 2009. This is 2010. Rafa is healthy now. Times have changed.

2. Rafa was always doomed. Sod never had trouble beating Nadal. He couldn't beat Fed. He has gotten over that hump. He got over mini choke against Berdych. He is the man of destiny.

Except Soderpig had trouble beating Nadal at the 2009 French Open. Nadal was up a break in the 4th set, and Soderpig needed a tie-breaker to beat him. That's an awful lot of trouble considering Nadal was on his last legs and hitting everything to the service box. Soderpig isn't facing that player in the final. Sorry, no soder for you.

Actually now they said this morning on TV that Sunday will be partly cloudy 24C/25C (from 15 to 18), 70-80% humid. Rain is expected to fall around 19.00. The match should be over by than. The heat and humidity definitely favors Nadal's game, the rain favors Soderling.

I like your weather report..but I looked at several and the consensus is high 20 rain showers or a thunder storm ...all day. Whoever the player, the weather affects both, and Nadal/Soderling will just have to deal with it. And so will we as we watch the internet all day.

Indeed. I remember last year's 4R match at RG was at relatively sunny day (when Rafa lost). The Rome 2009 3R match (when Rafa beat him convincingly) has been a night match at relatively cold conditions. Probably it is a little bit exaggerated the conditions will play such a factor.

Aparently, for "Fed's dad" an individual who has some uncontrolled nervous movement has no right for a honest game. Please, continue posting, you are doing my job here.

Yeah, Robin tried to cheat, once. Nadal cheats (breakes the rules) in every match.

How do you know Soderling cheated once? He cheated once in front of TV camera. To me he made an impression of being pretty skillful in finding a suitable out-mark in the matter of a split-second. Proves a lot of practicing, at least in children's tournaments.

As to breaking the rules, that's for umpire to decide. Anyone can call anyone a cheater for anything, if follow your logic. I can tell you are a cheater for breaking MTF rules (offensive post), you'll tell I am a cheater because I made a non-relevant post (also breaking of the rules) etc. Do you see how idiotic that sounds?

No, the umpire doesn't decide whether a player break the rules or not, the umpire decides whether to enforce it or not. The rules are clear. It's black & white, not gray. Nadal clearly always breaking the 25 seconds rule, but the umpire, most of the time, choose not to enforce the rule. It's obvious, really.

In the Nadal camp even his coach uncle phoney is cheating. He was seen coaching his nephew during a match, giving signs when to challenge, urging the official to alter the schedule plan (US Open).

Nadal also acts according to his own rules, if an umpire finally dares to gives him a warning for time violation, he complains instead of giving an excuse to the opponent whose rhythm he breaks regularly. Tell me about arrogance.

No, I was never a Russian. Russians are Caucasians, Slavic ethnicity, and I am Asian, Turkik ethnicity. As far as I know, I am 100% Kazak (at least for 3 generations back), Zhagalbaily in fact, the Younger Hundred (Kazaks have tribes divided into 3 Hundreds-- Elder, Middle, and Younger).

Yes, I am no longer Soviet, which is not ethnicity but nationality in modern American sense of this word. For us the correct term would be citizenship though. And yes, I will never be a Soviet again, hard to imagine Soviet Union to reappear. We have a customs union though with Russia and Belorussia but not even close to simple economy union as EU.

And finally, I don't worry about not being a Soviet. In fact, I'd worry if I thought such a possibility exists. As a Kazak with good education and training and brains, I gained so much from free economy, no words can describe. And if to add to this the fact that I was never good in joining a crowd and at pretending a black is white, then you'd know how much I would worry about communism being back in either Kazakstan or Russia or both.

Ouf, educating American kids on MTF takes so much time

Yes, it does matter. The reason why Nadal is allowed to cheat is very simple. Money.

The ATP rulers didn't wan Federer to completely dominate tennis. Nadal obviously benefits from his delaying tactics.
For 2 reason:
1) his playing style is very physically demanding and 5-10, sometimes 15 seconds more between points is a huge difference,
2) it annoys Federer. Federer is a 'no bullshit' type of person, he's there to play the game.

If we take out Nadal from the picture, Fededer would have completely dominated tennis from 2004 to now. It would probably have been the most boring era in tennis. Federer-Nadal rivalry makes tennis more entertaing, there is more drama = more money.

No. The important thing here is that, with a slower court, he has longer time to prepare his massive swings. His shots have so much pace that, even if the balls slow down a little more after the bounce if the clay court is wet, he can produce winners without problems even if it's raining. The experts say the same thing.

Congrats RFK, you were right about today. Nadal did win. Now, go and find your idol and give him a big sloppy kiss :D

Don't you have to say something as you were man enough to accept the challenge.

Admit your illogical viewpoints or hide like a little girl.

It seems

Rafa on clay > God on clay

Obvious statement is obvious. Nadal on clay is even better than Vader on clay. Darth Rafael, it has some power, no?

Soda needed a miracle and didn't get one. Don't think God got involved in this one.

The good news is there does not seem to be one sunny day in France this week. hahahahahaha. Rafa is done. Unless sun somehow comes out or Soderling pulls a Machida and drinks something, it's in the bag!

sorry, the title is now in rafa's bag, bye :cuckoo::haha::haha::bigclap:

Weather is a Nadtard. :D It forced the grounds crew to add more clay to soak up the early morning shower.

Lesson: never involve God in tennis matches.

God doesn't even care about tennis. Probably his least favourite sport.
