Fede has a really good draw. I expect a SF at least.

If Pippo is healthy, he should make the final here.

I think Beto will beat Gaston, if Gaston beats the qualifier. I think Beto can make the final here too but it will be tough vs. Fede.

All in all, I like the draw, very interesting tournament.

The other part of the draw looks easier for Volandri and for Andujar.Ramirez Hidalgo is in a winning streak too, if he isn't too tired he can have a good run here... same as Kukushkin who lost the final of Kosice to Ruben. Very good draw overall for a 30k.
At least the argies could only face them in SF (except Berlocq-Del Bonis), so a good draw in that sense :p

Well, Ruben has an easy draw to reach QF or SF, but as you well said he might be quite tired if he reaches QF or SF. I don`t think that Kukushkin would go further than QF or SF. Will see.

Gil has been playing horribly and can lose to anyone at this point. Also, Fede should beat Fred regardless. It's if he plays Martin/RRH (I think Beto) where he may have issues. The final will probably be Martin/RRH/Delbo v. Volandri.

Delbo won 6-3 6-1 over Brizzi.

RRH won 7-6(3) 6-2.

Berlocq def. Poch-Gradin 7-6(5) 6-3.

Machi def. Recouderc 3-6 6-4 6-1

Machi and Fred are playing Wimbledon so I don't really understand their decisions to play here. Machi is understandable, but Fred avoiding anything not clay isn't going to get him in the top 50 where he says he wants to be.

I'll chalk Pippo's loss today to a lack of recovery from last week, and leave it at that.

Beto coming through in a tough match, he must be tired from last week. I take back what I said yesterday, Gaston definitely is the favorite to beat Beto. I wouldn't care who wins it though.

Hopefully one of Delbo/RRH/Beto/Gaston wins the title here, and they really should, only Andujar I can see is a threat to them.

This is a great opportunity now for Fred/Beto/RRH/Gaston to win this event. I want one of these clay court veterans to win and get their rankings back in the right direction to be solid in the top 100 where they belong!

Great victory for Chucky Junqueira and great to see Machi in a semifinal again ! :yeah:

RRH is having a great tournament but my favourite to win tomorrow and the tournament now is Gil.(strange defeat by Fede against Charlie in 1/4). Overall it was a good tournament for Gaudio .

They'll play in indoor.

BTW, Lleyton tomorrow is the most surebet I've ever seen.

Yes, obviously odds are a joke, 3-0 is my choice. This guy is unable to win a set on grass.
BTW Riba and Gil also will play on Tuesday in Wimby.

Congrats to Gil... Too bad for Machi, but still good week for him :) He won lots of matches, good for his confidence and the next tournaments on ATP level.

Just a pity that Machi couldn`t close the 2nd set but it was a good week for him. Congratulations for Frede for this new victory which I guess it will help on his confidence. Cheers!
