Probably Del Bonis.

1) Bernard Tomic ( his match against Cilic at AO2010 )
2) Grigor Dimitrov
3) Ryan Harrison

Rufin is a nice player to watch and is already about top 150. Ignatik has been making some nice moves up the ranks. Kontinen has some nice wins. Berankis is a talent. Del Bo already is a force on the challenger circuit and could be top 100 by the US Open. Harrison is beating guys 10 years older than him.

Personally, I think it's Tomic with the most potential. Also, I think Filip has a lot of big time potential.

1)Del Bonis
2)Berankis
3)Ruffin
4)Tomic
5)Dimitrov

Tomic has alot of potential, but he needs to be his own person and not his father's child!

Dmitrov, IDK, people say GOAT, but I havent seen anything, yet! all I have seen is an injured kid!

Krajinovic, he has what it takes.

Harrison, he has what it takes, too

how many people have watched Del Bonis play?

A fair few, either against Wawrinka last year or in one of the Italian challengers this year.

Lucky that I've been on this kid for a while.

I heard about him early last year, and saw him against Wawrinka in Gstaad, where he was competitive and impressive. He is obviously a guy who will be top 50 within the next year-year and a half, and he has a game that can translate to hard as well. Big forehand and decent first serve. He has powerful and heavy ground strokes. Just needs to develop physically and get more consistent, and develop the serve a little more. But he is already beating guys like Gil, Mayer, Crazy Dani, Vassallo and this is at 19 on his first full year in challengers. He will be top 150 after next week already as well. He is someone to look out for.

Dimitrov- huge potential, natural born talent, complete game, still young, needs to work on confidence and maturity.

Also Del bonis,Krajinovic and Tomic

The question was RIGHT NOW. If the entire under 20 crop had a tournament amongst themselves today, the winner would undoubtedly be del Bonis.

Montego

At this moment - Del Bonis, the bandwagon is gathering steam. But it is tough to evaluate such an uncountable thing like talent.

Del Bonis has the best results for sure, is he the most talented ? It is very subjective, I am not willing to answer.

Filo V.
05-04-2010, 12:44 AM
There is a difference between best performing and best talented, as Montego put. Del Bonis has the best results and is probably going to be top 100 after this season, but that doesn't necessarily make him the most talented. I believe in terms of talent, overall potential and ability, Tomic is a cut above the rest, and Del Bonis is around 3rd or 4th behind Tomic, behind Filip, and yes, behind Grigor as well.

Bernard Tomic is the most competitive among people under 20 years, at 17 he has a level of game near the top 100 and had already play twice in grand slam, he will be good everywhere except in clay surface,

I think Del Bonis is the best on clay,

Grigor Dimitrov is the most talented, huge potential but he is not ready in his head, not solid in court, he can lose a match because of wrong choice of shot selections and wrong tactic game

This could be who can get on the bandwagon first.

Smoke944

Del Bonis is the highest ranked mostly because he is two years older than most of these guys. I think he will be a really good claycourter but don't think he is as talented as most of these other guys. And I also think that he's not as good as some of these other guys on hard right now, even though he's a couple years further along in his development.

And to answer the thread's question, who knows?
Tomic, Harrison, Krajinovic, and Dimitrov have done a lot to impress, in particular.

So many people seem to forget that Tomic has played in three Grand Slam men's singles main draws. Australian Open 2009 and 2010 and Roland Garros 2009. Obviously his first round loss to Kohlschreiber wasn't very memorable.

Clearly Marko Djokovic. Any unranked player that the ATP allows a place in a main draw must be a fantastic prospect.

Speaking of Bhambri...

I was looking at the list of boys' GS champs and was surprised at how long it takes to transition to ATP level. The most recent boys' champs to break through on the men's tour are probably Monfils/Murray/Cilic from 2004-2005.

He is definitely right up there with the other 92 guys and Dimitrov. And I think these guys are in general more talented then the 90 guys.

Well, so far he's only won matchs in India where competition is not so strong. IMO, he is yet to prove himself outside of India...

Vasek Pospisil has a good ranking in the top 300 at only 19. He and Milos Raonic are 2 young Canadians who seem to have decent potential.

Eysseric was someone a lot were pushing a few years ago. Boluda too. Are people still high on them?

Only one mention of Henri Kontinen... He's 19 (turns 20 this year) and is ranked within top 250 (242) even though missing tournaments because of injuries.

He has an aggressive and flashy game with nice volleys. So far he's been a Davis Cup monster, scoring many wins when at 2-2 and finally we have someone else to support Jarkko in DC :yeah:.

Seems like he might not have the right mentality though.

they will be like every other canadian man dancing around in the top 200 and doing well in challengers and futures and then failing to make a dent in any main draw unless they play doubles with someone from another country.

I can only judge by those ive seen. Kontinen for sure, an great talent! Krajinovic has to build up some muscles, but he already got an great game. Tomic in AO, played an awesome match, after that?!?

Dusan Lajovic? :secret: Have done some great results in the Futures, lost an tight game against Karlovic 6-7 4-6 in his ATP debut, took out Tomic last week 6-1 6-4.
