Rafa 6-2 6-1, Gulbis is far too inconsistent and fatigued. Wawrinka played much better and still only won 5 games. Ernests as talented as he is, won't win more than three games.

Being a fan of both Rafa and Ernests I have to say Rafa will take this one easily because Gulbis will make too many UEs. I'll be glad if he wins at least a couple of games in each set.

I think you don't appreciate Gulbis' physical potential which is IMO absolutely amazing.

earnests being tired here may play a part in the match along with the fact that he'll have the chance to beat the 2 best players in the world today ( i want to vomit typing that ), i think it'll be to much mentally for him and his game will break down.

Tricky to know how many games he will win as it will almost completely depend on how well he serves.

he rarely won those matches in the past...but often put a good fight(against Nadal,Federer or Djokovic)

It will probably be like Wawrinka's performance, there will be portions where Nadal has to play defense, and then Gulbis will breakdown when he can't win a set after playing great, and it'll be straight sets Nadal win. It is a good matchup though, closer than when Verdasco plays Nadal on clay. Speaking of Verdasco, he is the 2nd best claycourter in the world, but he just doesn't matchup with Nadal.

Moreover, he has a big serve which is a source of free points.
Unfortunately, Ernests is able to play errorless only sometimes, most of time he makes stupid faults.
