If someone outside the top 6 were to win a major who would it be and where?
If someone outside the Top 6 were to win a major this year...?Jaffas85 04-25-2010, 06:12 AM If someone outside the top 6 were to win a major who would it be and where? Garson007 04-25-2010, 09:19 AM My vote goes to Xristos, who will win all three the remaining slams! Certinfy 04-25-2010, 09:21 AM Roddick - Wimbledon vn01 04-25-2010, 09:23 AM Soderling-he is able to win a Slam, but I don't know where. Also Cilic at USO duong 04-25-2010, 09:37 AM the best bet is certainly Roddick in Wimbledon. Söderling, Cilic can also do it, but few chances. coonster14 04-25-2010, 11:13 AM Roddick at Wimbledon (he was so damn close last year, came within a millimetre) Maybe Sod can win US Open (if only he didnt play Fed in the QF last year, even then, he played great for the 3rd and 4th sets). Kolya 04-25-2010, 11:17 AM Davydenko - Wimbledon. ~*BGT*~ 04-25-2010, 11:31 AM Roddick: Wimbledon Tsonga: USO Aaric 04-25-2010, 11:33 AM Roddick or Soderling at Wimbledon Jills 04-25-2010, 11:37 AM Davydenko - Wimbledon. :haha: Chiakifug 04-25-2010, 11:39 AM Soderling anywhere. Hellraiser 04-25-2010, 11:40 AM I don't think so in this year. Goldenoldie 04-25-2010, 11:41 AM Verdasco RG Cilic USO Jills 04-25-2010, 11:43 AM Robin can win one on any surface. He's proven he has what it takes. Andy at Wimbledon IF he doesn't have to play Fed. He's, like, incapable of beating Fed. Jills 04-25-2010, 11:45 AM Andy at Wimbledon IF he doesn't have to play Fed. He's, like, incapable of beating Fed. And by "Andy" I mean Roddick, in case there was confusion. Goldenoldie 04-25-2010, 11:45 AM Davydenko - Wimbledon. Davydenko is not outside the Top 6 (yet?) ApproachShot 04-25-2010, 11:47 AM Do you mean the current top 6 or the top 6 at the time of entry to the major tournament? Don't berate me for suggesting this, but has anyone looked into the mathematical probability of Murray being ranked #7 for the US Open? I know it is incredibly unlikely, but what are the chances of any two of Davydenko, Roddick or Soderling displacing him? And even if they do, I would still consider Murray to be a big contender for the US Open. After the clay season, he is after all defending a wins at Queens and Canada as well as semis at Wimbledon and Cincinnati. Contrast that to say Soderling, who although is defending points from his French Open final last year, could potentially pick up many points from Rome, Madrid, Canada, Cincy and Washington. In fact in the 4 Masters 100 tournaments between now and the US Open, he is defending a grand total of 145 points. Of course, Murray could pick up points in Rome, Madrid and Roland Garros, but his general form and track record on clay means that significantly improving last year's results are far from a certainty. Jaffas85 04-25-2010, 01:10 PM I should have said "outside the top 5" because if Davydenko is in his very best form he could pose a threat at the French Open. Soderling and Tsonga could potentially have a shot at the US Open and Roddick at Wimbledon as well as the US Open should he be in his best form and avoid Federer. Persimmon 04-25-2010, 01:10 PM Maybe Roddick at Wimbledon or Cilic at the USO. Kolya 04-25-2010, 02:58 PM Davydenko is not outside the Top 6 (yet?) The downfall is soon mate. Should start short selling Davydenko. andy neyer 04-25-2010, 06:01 PM Davydenko - Wimbledon. That would be the most awesome sports moment ever. I can imagine the speech... "Yeah, thanks everybody. But this still is the most boring tournament ever. Nothing to do here. Where's my hot wife? I want to go to the hotel". PiggyGotRoasted 04-25-2010, 06:10 PM That would be the most awesome sports moment ever. I can imagine the speech... "Yeah, thanks everybody. But this still is the most boring tournament ever. Nahh that wouldnt be his speech but it would be the best sports moment ever for me  Noleta 04-25-2010, 06:22 PM Roddick at Wimbledon. born_on_clay 04-25-2010, 08:08 PM Nalbandian - RG or Wimbledon Playmoretennis10 04-26-2010, 01:09 AM Roddick Wimbelton DualMedia 04-26-2010, 01:48 AM lol, everybody here knowS that ANDY RODDICK WILL WIN WIMBLEDON!!! docking34 04-26-2010, 02:48 AM roddick will get wimbledon this time. paseo 04-26-2010, 04:32 AM Verdasco - RG. R.Federer 04-26-2010, 11:03 AM ... then I would hope it is a total outsider, like someone outside the Top 50, having a dream draw and a dream-run, coming out of nowhere. I would love to see another Goran-type wildcard-type win. It would be extremely refreshing! Dextertje 04-26-2010, 11:05 AM Roddick, Wimbledon or USO.
