3/3 on BP's, and not a single one faced. Good stuff, Robin. :sport:

Both players could have got their first serve in a lot more often.

Fav for the title now ....... which would put him only 700ish points behind 4th spot in the rankings.

I still can't belive Soderking lost to Lopez in Shanghai.

He had that elbow problem then and ran out of gas in that match, but Feli played good there and succeeded in playing on Robins weaknesses!!

Fav for the title now ....... which would put him only 700ish points behind 4th spot in the rankings....and he's defending a R3 in Rome and a R2 in Madrid, so it's a great chance for him to gain a lot of points there! :D

Like the English commentator said, Robin is slaying his opponents' 2nd serve these days. 60% this match, and about the same for the year. Along with his serve that'll take you a long way alone. Important with such a short match aswell if he wanna win this tournament.

No problem at all for Robin tonight.
Feli played amazingly poorly.
Good luck tomorrow, Robin. ;)

biggest opposition will come from ferrer and verdasco or gulbis and debakker if they make it.

Damn it, why did Nadal have to pull out!!! I want to see another clay rematch between the two, or any rematch at all -.-

Good stuff from Robin though, only got to see the second set..

No, he isn't imo. Ferrer and Verdasco more than him. Big fav to get to the final, yes.

Well, each to their own of course, but he's favourite at the books and exchanges - narrowly ahead of Ferrer, then Verdasco. Doesn't hurt he has such a good record against Verdasco either.

Of course, Verdasco and Ferrer will possibly meet. Soderling has an easier route - but favourite simply means most likely winner, and the draw is part of that. Doesn't hurt he has the easiest quarterfinal also, and thus least likely to be spending much time on court.

All true, but I think that when he faces a good clay courter with rhytm and good form like Verdasco or Ferrer, and they also have home advantage, he will be the underdog in his first clay tournament.

Verdasco isn't in any kind of form really, he has only beaten chokers and failures rescently. Its kind of pathetic how he entered the MC final and got to this QF!!

It's not like Soderling has met top players this tournament...
And Verdasco's run at MC was pretty impressive.

Yes, he hasn't and Verdasco neither! but at least Robin won his matches easy and Verdasco had to fought more than it was expected;)

Stop acting like a baby. If you find Nando so unthreatening as a tennis player why do you keep talking about him?
