I think in the current form he has good chance to be seeded in Paris, doesn't need to defend points from last year but obviously not all depends on him. Anyway I suppose he'll be placed 30-35 in the ranking before RG.

dont make him losing to gonzalez and automatic yet. He has been playing like crap for the last little while and has a couple of losses he shouldnt have had this season so if he continues to play the way he has been and ernests plays as good as he has been so far this week an upset is possible.

He has a decent shot to win tomorrow, with Gonzo on current form (even assuming gonzo makes it there!). Verdasco in the qfs is another matter though.

Certainly on paper he has a very good chance to reach at least the QFs this week, and if Verdasco isn't at his best then maybe an opportunity to go a little further. Ferrer has his poor moments as well... :shrug:
