The low quality cocaine will fail him.

No doubt it'll be Verdasco. He's a horrible match up for the frenchman. For the last few matches they have played Verdasco firstly is able to utilize Gasquet's backhand with relative ease with his forehand, then he easily takes advantage of Gasquet's horrible reverse forehands which usually lands short or loopy. Verdasco should be too good.

It all depends on Verdasco, as very often with him.

And this player is able of everything, including completely losing his rhythm for one set, and finding it back next set

Also depends on Verdasco's back problems, which have hurt him recently.

They had great matches in the past in Monte-Carlo.

But yes Verdasco is a bad match-up for Gasquet.

Gasquet just needs to remember that he used to own Verdasco.

Nando in 2! However Nando in 3 if he clowns around.

Gasquet just needs to remember that he used to own Verdasco.

And he is 3 years younger than Verdasco.
Ridiculous.

Berdych def. Gasquet 6-2 6-0
Verdasco def. Berdych 5-7 6-3 6-2

This is not going to be pretty, especially when Nando's playing on home soil!

They're 2 of my faves, so I don't care who wins. Will be cheering for Richie bc he's ranked lower, but I just hope it's a good match.

The low quality cocaine will fail him.

Yeah, that coke thing isn't played out at all. Notice no one laughed? At least make it funny.

he never had an easy win against him :

maybe one in 2007 in Rome ... but which just came after an incredible match in Monte-Carlo.

And no need to insist on Verdasco's improvements in the last one year and a half

Gasquet. Time to string some wins. Time for Nando to slump too.

Interesting head two head in how consistent it is, despite 9 matches. Verdasco won the last 3, as expected, when he was much the better player. Gasquet won the first 5, as expected, when he was much the better player.

Only Montreal 2007 did the weaker player win, according to my formtracker - even then, possibly just down to preparation (Verdasco played Segovia, Gasquet played Gstaad), and maybe injury (Gasquet retired the week after in Cinci).

Anyway, as to the match: Verdasco is extremely consistent as a heavy fav, quite contrary to his reputation. The only real horrible losses in recent years are on grass or fast hard (Cincinatti, Memphis), where it's easier for him to lose his timing totally.

[QUOTE=Certinfy;9834010]Berdych def. Gasquet 6-2 6-0
Verdasco def. Berdych 5-7 6-3 6-2

Tennis doesn't always work like this (Player A beats Player B very easily but loses to Player C so Player C should beat Player B very easily). It's more about the matchup of 2 specific players. You would be so better off betting on Verdasco for the reason that he has beaten Gasquet the last 4 times and not for the logic you're going by with the matches between them and Berdych.

Their H2H reminds me of Dokic vs. Martinez, or Dokic vs. Dementieva; it's very rare for one player to win every single match-up and then the opposite happens midway through their rivalry.

Nando easily if he doesn't let that MC beat down affect him. He can aldo clown around and need 3 sets as well, though I don't see him losing this especially in front of his home crowd.
