When people start these threads, could they please include some (more) basic information like age, left/right handed etc. Kelly was born 23/07/1990, plays left-handed, reside in Sunbury VIC but is from QLD. He is currently ranked 423 (career high 419) and his best two results in his professional career thus far have been winning an Australian Futures last September and making the quarter-finals of the Bernie Challenger this year.

Qualified for the Tallahassee Challenger and defeated Niland in the process who has been in some pretty good form of late.

Kelly lost in straights to Gonzalez after some confusion about the result with an incorrect result being listed on Tennis Australia's site. He did well to qualify and wasn't expected to beat Gonzalez so a decent week for him.

YEAH AND MAYBE Tennis Australia who devote a home page to results with video etc , could try and get more results right, it is amazing how many they get wrong.

 at least they give them out and do a video on it. Not many Tennis Federations if any do the same thing and I can't understand why you would take note in their results (unless you don't have a spare 5 minutes to look through future draws) when the results are often a day behind. It would help if they could get it right in the future especially with challengers because Bookmakers can lose money from clearing bets before they get paid but at least they are making an effort and if the bookmaker wants to trust them than they do so at their own risk. Tennis Australia have numerous problems but I think you have to give them a bit of credit here.

Dayne won a close one over Swede Michael Ryderstedt in Sarasota. With that result Dayne might crack the top 400 depending how those around him go this week. Well done Dayne and next up is Levine.

Dayne got hammered 61 61. Been a good week for him but probably not the way he wanted it to end although Levine is a very good player who is a couple of levels above him at this stage of their careers.

Kelly unfortunately lost to Canadian Raonic 64 62 in final round of qualifying, at Winnetka Challenger. He had a good 2nd round win in 3 sets over American Simmonds in the 2nd round.

An interesting match-up in the $10k USA Futures in Florida on clay, where No.2 seed Kelly faces up against a qualifier, Queenslander JP Smith, just fresh from making history as Tenneessee Universities MVP for four years running, and a previous No.1 ranked USA College player, in both singles and doubles.
Smith dropped no sets in four rounds of qualifying, conceding only 13 games in 8 sets.
It is going to be a tough one for Kelly and very interesting to see how Smith goes on the Men's Futures circuit.

That is an impressive scoreline from JP. Kelly did not know what hit him. Pity they had to meet in the 1st round.
