Matthew is currently playing in Spain F10, he is through to the second round of qualies. He has played some good matches this year, he made the final round of qualifying at burnie. Also has made the second round in two Australian future tournaments, he really tested current world number 200 Greg Jones in Mildura 6-4 5-7 2-6.

He hasn't played any ITF junior events ever. So he has really proved that he can handle some big players, good luck to him in Spain.

Also Luke Saville, Michael Hole and Jason Kubler lost in the first round.

Yeah I used to play with Barton, he's a good player who works very hard and always gets the best out of himself every time he steps out on court. Pity that he isn't getting funding this year as I think he has much more potential than some of the others. He must be too old at 17.
