Robert in ATP SF at almost 30 :D Loses in AO R2 from 2:0 up in sets, but bounces back quickly here, already 100th in the world, certainly higher after this week's weeks performance. Another late blooming Frenchie after Gicquel.

Brown is an awesome shotmaker. Wasted a lot break points late in the match. Imagine those thread titles: "Wimbledon R1: Brown smokes Pot 6:1 6:2 6:1". Cannot wait.

Saw the TB and a few games and it was absolutely awful. Brown hit every return out and Robert making tons of UEs as well. Robert will be finger food for Ferrer if he plays like this.

While this quarter final line-up does reflect the poor field of Johannesburg, these are both players that had a great 2009 and are continuing their form. They deserve some credit, even from posters like yourself.

Could be better Dustin. Much better. Great week for him anyway.

Only 39% 1st serves and tons of missed bps.

They deserve a kick in their nuts imo. Worst match I´ve seen at ATP level in many months

The first two rounds where good, this was pure shit fro Brown! Robert is a rare type of player, the guy has no weapon, he is average in everything, and his 2nd serve is pure WTA style. Dustin ha the wrong attitude from the start, kamikaze serve and volley on 2nd serves, runs to the net on awful fh chips, Brown is the better player, but just stupid decisions at important moments.....

Ferrer will demolish Robert....

Two gyes in unfamiliar territory, Robert was playing futures at this time last year. Brown didn't play well today, but I've seen him a few times on the challenger circuit over the last 6 months and can be really flashy and enjoyable to watch.

You're way too harsh.

Its a shame he had to go and lose since i had some cash on him, but congrats on a good week to him anyway.

Robert doesn't look much but he is a clever player. The sort of guy you can easily underestimate.

ouch. With that percentage you hardly win a tennismatch, no matter on which level. He had a good week though

It felt like watching some Challenger match. Terrible break point conversion from Brown. He did break twice in the 1st set, but only by Robert double-faulting at 30:40 ^^
Brown wasted his chances in the tiebreak when he led 4:1. Too many poor volleys, especially after 2nd serves.

Serve and volley tennis is nice to watch, but he just lost too many of his own service games. Overall a good tournament, though.

Robert proved too solid and deserved to win.

Needles to say, absolutely no chance for him in the Semis.

He led 4-2 in the tb, not 4-1.

Stephanie Robert, very solid general game, but evidently serves like a woman.

Brown, as one might expect, was all over the place! Using his head, be patient isn't high on his priority list!
