Is Rafa's playing style too rough on his body? How many years does he have left?

We all know Rafa is a great champion routinely beating Federer and he lost due to the injury against Murray last night.

After all the pull-outs of major tournaments last year and his struggling preformance ever since Roland Garros (or even Madrid when he lost to Federer, he never loses to Federer) it begs the question: Is Rafa's playing style too demanding for his body? I almost feel like he goes "THIS ISSS SPARTAAA" going after every single point like an animal... then his knees pop out

Can he last until he is 28 like Federer at the top of his game? In 2008 everyone was talking about how Rafa will surpass Federer, that is looking to be extremely unlikely.

Who is this mythical "everybody" in 2008 saying that Nadal would surpass Federer? Since the start of Nadal's career, "everybody" has been saying that his playing style would bring an early curtain down on his playing days. He made a Faustian bargain, and now it's time to pay up.
