Tough match. I'd like to call it for Jo, but he may be quite tired and Djokovic has to be pretty much fresh.

Looks like a lot of people are forgetting their past matches... Tsonga may have played a 5 setter, but it is relatively short compared to other 5 setters due to the quick points and service games.

Could go either way, a coin toss really. The Djoker is the favorite for me though.

To be quite honest Djokovic's groundies don't really have that Zing yet. And I didn't see the Kubot match, but I saw the one with Istomin where he abused the drop shot, and I think if he tries to do that cheeky stuff with Jo, he's gonna be in real trouble.

You have no idea what your talking about. Almost every facet of Tsonga's game is improved, 2 years ago he was almost go-for-broke, now he puts significant topspin and waits for the right opportunity. Any player in the top 30, especially with the style of Almagro, can catch fire and play like one of the best in the world.

I hope this time Nole catches fire, he'll need it. He's been in an energy conservation mode so far. He should be a much fresher player.

That his draw was easy doesn't mean that his next opponents are going to be easy. So not just because he had an easy draw (we could argue Fed had an easy one too) means he has to win the AO or he will be less if he doesn't. His next rivals are going to be very tough and we all know the second week is the one that counts. And if he wins the AO he absolutely deserves to be nº2 or 1 or whatever he gets because he has been a very consistent victorious player for 3 years which is a feat in itself. His singles record of 263 - 87 wins is astonishing. And that's the reason he will be up in the rankings, not because he got an easy draw in a Grand Slam. This is just a very lame excuse for the haters to bash Novak in case he wins the AO, like they did when he won it two years ago saying he defeated a 'mono' Fed. Always the same stupid excuses.

Djokovic has been flying under the radar all tournament. Should be an interesting match, neither are playing anywhere close to the levels they were playing at back in the 2008 when they played in the final.

We all know what happens with Nole and easy draw;)

First two sets should be tight, but Tsongaman will start to feel the effects of the Almugro match.
