I thought Jo was a gonner in the 5th set the way Almagro was playing, but he held his nerve in the end, especially when Almagro had break point, as a Tsonga fan i usually cringe whenever the ball goes anywhere near jo's backhand as it's clearly his biggest weakness and it's let him down so many times, but today he hit four brilliant winners off of it which surprised me, it was especially effective in the final game as he quit running round the ball onto the forehand which didn't give Almagro the whole courte to aim at, if Jo's backhand continues to improve then he'll give the top 5 serious problems to deal with imo.

Match of the Touney. Tsongo was very, very lucky to sneak through that. I thought almagro might give him a scare and boy he did. Almagro played well in the earlier rounds but really peaked for this match. Credit to Tsongo for fighting like a champion in that fifth. He could have easily gave in.

Dont know about Djoke. Different type of player. The way Novak has been playing I would say Tsonga will win this based on confidence right now.

I know Mugro isn't the most popular player here, but you have to feel for him a bit. He was playing his best tennis, came back from 0-2, but just lost on the end. :sad:

this :lol: he's a great talent but he needs to improve his fitness and his attitude. He was actually very calm today in the 5th set, but there have been way too many times in the past when he would freeze up or just self-implode when things got tight in a match :tape:
