:ras: I think Tsonga has an edge ATM, but whether that means much remains to be seen. But I assume you're asking about loyalties. I tried the rational approach just for you, you know the younger one will have more opportunities in the coming years and so on, but it's not really working even ahead of the match, let alone when the action starts. It's a lose-lose situation for me. QF or semi, it would become a win-win, but 3rd round, it's almost as bad as that first round clash with Gasquet at USO. :sobbing:

Tipsa played the best tennis of his life and Tommy was stabile enough to take him down.

The German's BH was working like a Rolex - how do u imagine Tsonga holding in a BH rallie against Haas?

This one can't be else but a tight battle, with possibly Haas as a winner, due to his by far superior backhand.

Well his drop shot was on fire against Greul, but Tsonga moves about 7 times better than him. Its a terrible tactic though if you ask me, half the time when he goes for a dropshot hes in a position to hit an attacking backhand...

I think that his drop shots were just in place, too hard to read from both Tips and Greul.

Tsonga should win but its not like that Exho means absolutely anything at all. Haas can beat/lose to anyone and same goes for Tsonga, so I don't know how you could really predict this result with any real confidence.

At this stage in his career:rolleyes: Last year he had two back to back wins against Djokovic(Final of Halle), he was 2 games from taking out Federer at round of 16 of Roland Garros, he made the semis of Wimbledon. Tsonga hasn't made a semifinal(final) since the 2008 Aussie Open(his only one).
Last year at the slams Haas lost to Nadal at Aussie, Federer at Roland Garros(4th Round choke, two sets up on Roger), Federer at Wimbledon(tight 3 set Semi), Verdasco at US Open(Choked in 5th set). Three of those times the person who beat Tommy also won the slam. Tommy is a hell of a player still anyone who says otherwise is an idiot.:p


By the way the only time they have played was last year and Tommy won that quite easily!

With that said, Tommy could lose to Tsonga(who is very dangerous when he is on) but than again he could also beat him. Tommy can beat pretty much anyone when he is on, depends on which Tommy shows up. He has made the semis of the Aussie open 3 times and he can make it 4 times.

You however are telling people not to bet for Tsonga, a higher ranked player than Haas and in the prime of his career, because you don't think there's any basis for Tsonga to win? Because Haas won in 5 sets against TIPSAREVIC, a grand slam mug of the highest order? No one will listen to you if they care avout their wallets (ie. everyone).:wavey:

Tsonga in 4. Haas is good enough to take a set from him, but I don't think he will be good enouhg to take the match. Should be a very fun match to watch, everyone bust out the popcorn!

Haas could win but Tsonga is the favorite. I like Haas and I don't mind Tsonga so a win for either one is okay.
