Berdy serves to stay in 1st set. Berdy is broken.
Berdy serves to stay in 2nd set. Berdy is broken.
Berdy serves to stay in 3rd set. Berdy is broken.

I'm not sure, but there might be a pattern there.

I agree, but even by Berdych's standards this is fairly exceptional, leading 4-2 in the opening set and losing 7 games in a row, getting back on serve in the second and again being broken to lose it, serving for the third at 5-4 and losing that 7-5....

Zhenya almost killed me in the second set. He had 0-30 at *0-1, *1-2, *2-3 and 15-40 at *3-4 before finally breaking only to lose serve at 4-4 and then break for 5-5. Mentally strong this Zhenya :yeah:

The same way he lost all the others matches that he shouldn't have lost. ;)

Pathetic, even for Berdych's already low standards when it comes to winning matches in a row. :help:

Congrats, Korolev! :hatoff:

Btw, Korolev is a worthy opponent, so at least he didn't lose to a journeyman who ranks outside a 100 :p

Berdych and Robredo out in the first three days. Great stuff.

Dedicated to Certinfy who would rather see his favourites lose like this to some brainless ballbasher (wait Berdych is one too).

great result for Korolev :yeah: let's see if he can keep winning.

at this point, nothing surprises me with Berdych  :o he chokes in the 4th rd against Federer last year, and this year he joins his gf Safarova in the loser's lounge before the 1st week is over :spit: I still think he'll have some good results this season, but they'll be mixed in with poor performances like this

Good result from Korolev. I thought Berdych would do better, he played pretty well against Haase. Not sure if he'll ever reach his potential.

great Zhenya! I thought he had a good chance here, but straight not in straight sets! he was due a breakthrough. finally no huge injury problems, some good results end of last year, it's a shame he's lost to Russia's Davis Cup team, but hopefully Kazakhs get to the World Group soon enough

guess it was no surprise since birdshit's gf safarova lost the other day. they probably planned this..to go on a nice vacation now.

Didn't watch this.
I just want to know, did he SMILE after losing?
I guess I don't have much expectation left to him.
