Loved Pico's match today. gulbis is a brat, and I was very happy to see him lose. And thank god Pico didn't go out. I was expecting JC and Robredo to cruise through their matches, and because of everyone on GM hyping up Gulbis, I thought Pico might lose. Exact opposite happened in all 3 matches. At least I can still watch Pico:)

I was at the Open and decided to see for myself why I thought this guy was good, you know, try and justify my defense of the guy in the past, but it's confirmed. Gulbis is shithouse. He has no thought process out there (side effect of the std's maybe???), every time he steps up to hit the ball or serve he belts the shit out of it - that would be great, but unfortunately for him, half of the balls do not land in the court. He had so many break point chances in the first set that I watched but he couldn't convert - he'd just smack it hoping for the best. Just rubbish.

Not taking anything away from Monaco here, all he had to do was get the ball into play and wait for Gulbis to make a mistake. I predict that within a year or two, unless he starts playing Challengers, he's going to disappear from the radar. So sad for his adoring little girl fan base.
