Querrey. A problem for Roddick?

This is the likely 3rd round matchup and we know what happened the last time Roddick faced a young American in a slam.

I think Querrey has a great chance to beat Roddick. One of the most dangerous players in that range that Roddick could have gotten.

Querrey could do some damage if he was in his last summer form. But he has been shit since coming back, losing 4 out of 4 matches.
The only option for Sam is to gain some confedence in R1 and R2 matches and then just do his best vs Andy.

No way, I like Querrey, but he is in some shit form lately, I expect it to be another few months for him to be back to his best again :yeah:

Bellucci is always talked up but he never seems to do anything.

Surprised Bellucci is even mentioned...would be quite a shock if he knocks off Roddick imo.

Well, Querrey has to get past Lopez/Cuevas before this potential match-up could take place...not totally guaranteed. Anyway, to echo DartMarcus, he will surely have to find much better form if he is to trouble Roddick next week. Not to mention that Roddick is a fitter specimen, and moves better...both give him an extra edge over a distance match in intense heat, imo.

Querrey hasn't been playing well and I think Isner is the tougher American matchup for Roddick than Sam.

would be nice to see Roddick lose that might really remind Larry S to keep his trap shut about "then end of Roger's show" stunt he pulled:devil:

Surely at the most both Bellucci and Querrey will get a set

After two weeks of matching them play the slight edge certainly goes to Querrey now. In addition, Querrey is going to continue to improve, while Roddick's best days are clearly behind him. You called it in early 2010, and I think it is safe to say that Isner and Querrey are now America's greatest hope for Grand Slam success. Good call...:wavey:
