You're right, it's only really news at Wimbledon. At least it confirms who among the top 32 (or so) are playing (i.e. not injured).

Absolutely agree with you. This Tomic - can't stand him. I'm going down to the AO for the first 2 days and when I'm on Rod Laver watching, I had better not be subjected to the likes of Tomic. That he was featured in a Rod Laver night match last year sticks in my craw to this day!

Have fun. Wouldn't it be great to see Hewitt draw Tomic though? You know it would be on Rod Laver.

Yes, watching Hewitt pulverise Tomic would be AMAZING. I amend my previous statement - I don't mind Tomic on Rod Laver IF he's playing a top 20 or so player. Last year he was playing Gilles Muller who with all due respect is a fine player, but come on. The organisers were trying to give Tomic publicity & show the Aussie television viewer a preview of a so-called 'future star.' I'll happily eat a trough of pigs slop if Tomic ever reaches such lofty heights or even makes it into the top 20.

.. i agree, i hope i dont have to see tomic, ball or any of the other crap aussie younsters during a night session at rod laver. That goes for stosur and molik on the womens side too. Luckily i i dint have tickets for the court 15 standard match between tomic and muller last year.

Wasn't Hewitt worse than Tomic in his age? The guy is teenager, it's normal to behave like him, what's all the fuss about?

Oh you'll no doubt see Stosur in a night match  She's the 13th ranked player in women's tennis and Australian.

But the seedings following the ranking, what shocking news...I didn't realize Murray had dropped that far but maybe he'll play better in slams now that he isn't the 2nd seed

He'll be back up to number 4 next week, once DP's points drop off.

Oh don't get me wrong, contrary to my post, I'm not a Lleyton fan either. Anyone who calls their fans 'stupid' doesn't get my support. Generally. But Tomic, well, he was predicting that he would be world number 1 and hold all 4 slams at the age of 16 or something... really, he's another guy who'll end up an also ran because of an inflated ego and a fanatical tennis father.
