haas was very bad

Shame he didn't get the win over Haas at Wimbledon (or Halle for that matter).

Still ... very pleased with the result, Novak looking good

From what I saw, Haas was in terrible form. Bad serving, bad hitting, bad volleying. Grumpy with himself, although that is typical.

Not very impressed by Novak, to be honest. He was hitting some really weak and short backhand slices that a better player would take advantage of. I still don't see what he's doing differently now or at the end of last season than what he was doing throughout most of 2009. We still haven't seen him come up against and defeat Federer, Murray, Roddick, Del Potro... he has a lot to prove these next few weeks.

Nole did look good, both troubled by the wind, Djokovic just a better player today. Tommy on the other hand didn't find the rhythm he needed, never mind still plenty to look forward..

novak, delpo and davydenko look most dangerous atm.

It's good for Novak's confidence to win Haas with such a good result two losts last against him. Seems he's ready this time to become #2. We'll see.

vs who will play Nole in the next match?

01-13-2010, 06:16 AM
against Verdasco

01-13-2010, 10:50 AM
Nole played well, Haas didnt. Haas has to defense or mishit all the time. Should Haas play volley more, the outcome could be closer. Difficult for him in the windy condition...

From the Herald Sun:

The 22-year-old Serbian, who eschewed season-starting tournaments in the Middle East, appeared in top fitness after coming off high-intensity training camps in the Italian Alps and the Middle East.

"I feel much better, feel fresh ... I just need a couple of matches under my belt before I go to Melbourne Park," he said.

Sounds good for Nole, I'm feeling good vibrations. Adje Nole! :bounce:

I often thought Djokovic was really ready for a GS, and he seldomly delivers.

Haas had difficulties adjusting to the windy conditions. Was really bad tbh:oNole was good for a first match:yeah:Can't wait for the AO:bounce:

First set was most terrible tennis I've seen for a long time, Haas unable to get 3 balls in!

At least Nole's clownish backhand jump volleys were amusing...
No slam for him this year if he's unable to improve his net game!

So glad to be able to post again. Sorta.

novak will be tough to beat in melbourne

I won't be able to watch Nole in Kooyong due to my crap computer so this pleases me very much to read. As I seriously doubt Rafa to do much damage in the AO, I would love to see it won by Novak.
