Hello Igor fans! Anyway, what he really needs is to get on the clay as soon as possible. He will get wins there, and find his confidence back playing on his best surface. I don't see a successful AO for Igor, but hopefully he proves me wrong!

Hi flyboy. It's nice to have you here.

I agree with you, with the way he has been playing I don't think the Aussie Open is looking to good for him .I usually like to stay positive but my god he has not played good in i don't know how long.

I LOVE YOU IGOR KEEP FIGHTING SOONER OR LATER THE RESULTS WILL COME:hug:.

Well he's never really played that well at the Aus Open, has he?

I think we should expect him to at least win a round, but I'm not sure we should even expect that if he can't beat a player like Leonardo Mayer after having matchpoints.

And welcome flyboy. :wavey:

:wavey: Hello everyone! Thanks for the warm reception :)

I really hope I am wrong about my prediction for the Aussie Open, but given the form he has showed of late, especially on hard court, I don't see it happening for him, and he is low on confidence. The best he has done at the AO is a 3rd round, which is about realistic for what can be expected of him, maybe 4th round depending on the draw. The fact he isn't in the top 32 anymore hurts him, hope he gets a kind draw, he may need it at this point. I still believe though!

Last year he played better on hard courts than he has showed so far.. I think he is back with his old coach so maybe we can expect better things for clay. I sure hope so. With a good serve and forehand like that he should be doing better :(

He is in the doubles SF though

Well, he's playing Roger in the 1st round of AO. Don't think anything else really needs to be said.

Yes, I like Igor a lot. He has a very nice personality and seems like an overall really good guy. I also love his game, especially that forehand, and the way he can punish players with his aggressive baseline game when he is playing well.

As far as the suffering, yeah, unfortunately, you are right about that  I truly wish he would be more consistent for extended periods of time, but I still love him regardless. At the very least, I hope he just has fun on the court and is competitive match in and match out, and the wins will come. I still believe in him.
