I'm a fan of Delpo,but i can't really see him winning Wimby:spit:His movement on grass is awkward,like a giraffe on ice:shrug:

Del Potro is one of my fave players, but if he is gonna pick up a Wimbledon title, I doubt it'll be in the next 3 years.

del Potro on grass ....
01-10-2010, 08:08 PM
The only thing he has going for him on grass is his serve, the ball is very lower, and his movement is shit on grass, so he can't position himself properly like he can on HCs

What a jackass.

Deitsch made some good predictions.

He also has Tsonga winning the U.S open. :spit:

I admit it's a rotten call, but I guessing anyone who tipped Nadal winning Wimbledon at the beginning of 2006 was probably met with similar ridicule?
01-11-2010, 09:21 AM
may be, who knows, never say never, who would think the grass mug rafa would win wimby? ;)

Andrew Lawrence >>>>> Simon Reid ??????

Del Potro is a good player but his chances of winning Wimbledon is just as high as Davydenko`s.
01-11-2010, 10:00 AM
I'm sure he'll be motivated to improve his game on grass, but it's never going to be his best surface and he isn't going to improve enough to come close to a Wimbledon title this year.
01-11-2010, 10:17 AM
Not in a million years.
01-11-2010, 10:48 AM
All DEFINETELY better players then him on grass atm. Possibly even Hewitt aswell
01-11-2010, 02:18 PM
And Andy Roddick will win the French this year.
01-11-2010, 02:52 PM
no chance lance
01-11-2010, 10:28 PM
Possibly, Hewitt just beat Del Potro in the second round of Wimbledon in 2009 6-3 7-5 7-5. So why would it change that much in 2010?
01-11-2010, 11:33 PM
unlikely but lets not forget noone predicted him to reach RG SF either.
01-12-2010, 06:44 AM
Dunno who is Andrew Lawrence, but with such prediction i certainly don't care to understand.
There is half a dozen players with twice better chances and a bunch with equal chances.
Del Potro could win all the other slams, except Wimby. imo
01-12-2010, 06:46 AM
It's just nice to see a really stupid prediction about someone other than Andy Murray for a change.
Del Potro may win Wimbledon one day but not this year, he needs to work on his grasscourt movement a lot first. At least in 2010 he seems committed to trying and has entered Queens, previously he has skipped the grasscourt season and done poorly at Wimbledon.
