Truth be told: Kolya is absolutely not just the best player of our epoch but also the Greatest Player of All Times. Why hasn't he won at leat one GS then? -some might be compelled to ask. But the answer is quite simple: His quest for perfection and more so his will to win are sadly controlled by the top power-seeking figures of the ingent Russian mafia. In an effort to save his own life as the lives of his family, he can only win when they order him to. Winning a match when there's no perentory mandate from "above" to do so is akin to signing his own death sentence.
What trobles his mind a bit is when the orders change -and they do- even during the match. In today's match for example, poor Kolya was instructed to let Nadal win and thus he let him take the first 7 games with little opposition. Then the match went on until suddenly he was told to win no matter what (apparently some of the millionary bets of the Russian mob had erroneously gone in his favour) and so he did of course. After all, winning is certainly not a problem for Kolya, the GOAT.

Well nadal was the goat because despite having nine less grand slams then federer he has a winning record against him. But now davydenko has a winning record against nadal so despite no grand slams he becomes the goat. AHHHHHH MTF logic at its finest. :)

I don't think he can win the AO this year.
It will be extremely tough for him to go all the way in a 2 weeks period with 5 sets matchs and the heat.
Plus, he's more likely to get injured than the other players.

Calm down, children. Nikolai won tournaments that are best 2 out of 3 sets. A Slam is a whole different animal.

Thinking about jumping on this bandwagon, actually. I used to dislike Kolya because of his injury faking and match fixing, but since late 2009 and not least the WTF, I see him in another light. I honestly didn't think he had tennis like that in him, not when facing the big dogs. I'm almost growing fond of the bald man. I also like that he is a first class Piggy roaster of late.
