Doha R2 | Gulbis b. Seppi 6/4 7/5

Ernests had it easy in his own service games while he had Seppi under constant pressure in his. He could have made more use of his chances due to some poor shot selection, but he got it done in the end.

It should be an interesting match against Fed. :)

Way too many Unforced Errors from Seppi, considering he normally doesn't make many :o

Still congrats Gulbis :)

keep it up Erno

01-06-2010, 05:34 PM
Ernie :hearts: Like Seppi, too, though.

The last FH was one of the fastest this year.

Ernie should have fallen on Parera's side... considering that Parera tends to have some problems with the ball bashers.

Anyhow, it should be interesting tomorrow. First dangerous opponent for Federer in Doha.

ernie winning matches again ??

01-06-2010, 05:53 PM
Seppi's 2nd serve :spit:

ernie winning matches again ??

Yeah, it's still hard to believe, isn't it?

Gulbis made three DFs in that one game where Seppi broke him :help: But otherwise a nice match to watch :) And after three years on tour, Gulbis is finally getting to play Federer :D :bounce: He's got very little chances to win but I still can't wait to see that match :rocker2:

congrats Evita

Has Ernie got himself together?

01-06-2010, 06:11 PM

Hope he takes it to Roger- he has nothing to fear now.

01-06-2010, 06:21 PM
Way to go Ernests! :bounce: hope he puts up a fight against Fed... just as rocketassist says - no fear!

01-06-2010, 06:26 PM
Yay keep going Ernests. Solid tennis in 2010. :scared: For how long ?! :o

01-06-2010, 06:44 PM
Good to see him actually winning 2nd round matches now.

01-06-2010, 07:01 PM
Gulbis looks like he's intent on taking this year seriously, great to see. :)
I hope we see a good match tomorrow.

I noticed his father is with him for the tournament, I wonder if that makes him more, or less, focused on his matches.

It's really great to see Gulbis make the QF against Rogie, but unfortunately for Gulbis, it all ends here. Sports Illustrated's Athlete Of The Decade wins this one.

01-06-2010, 08:23 PM
Ernests :yeah: He means business this year.

01-06-2010, 08:27 PM
someone has hacked bilbo's account

01-06-2010, 08:28 PM
Gulbis had just better not run through this half of the draw and then get moonballed to death.

great start to the season considering it took him until october to win a second round match in 2009.

someone has hacked bilbo's account

yeah, did a double take at that one and started thinking maybe it was Ivan who had been calling Gulbis a no-hoper for the last year

I noticed his father is with him for the tournament, I wonder if that makes him more, or less, focused on his matches.

My guess would be more :p But I don't think it matters all that much, I think the recent relatively better results are all because of Gumy :worship:

And Bilbo has seen the error of his ways :worship:
