Davy will repeat his last win over Fed in the SF, in 3 sets as well.

36/14 W/UE for Federer
I thought it was good clean match from Federer giving the windy conditions.
Certainly not a bad match and so far Federer is looking the most impressive of all the players in Doha.
But whatever...

not that bad considering the wind...certainly not as good as yesterday  I've seen worse so a win is a win

i always thought that Zhenya can hurt him if keeps it simple and fluent for just 2 sets
but never did as he really lacks brains and tactic what so ever

Fixer to improve his head to head against Grandaderer, as the old man will be too afraid to win and meet the Spanish Bull and endanger his legacy in this kind of below par form.

Afraid to endanger his legacy? What? You're planning to steal one of his GS trophies in the dead of night? :haha:

Rafatito being in such a red hot form, Federer better avoid the manacorian muscle machine, indeed :yeah:

NadullWonUsOpen09, is that you? Anyway, moonbaling clown's glory days are all but coming to an end - too much young firepower and stress on his poor knees to endure.

Why is there more talk about Nadal in this thread than Federer?

I thought Roger looked pretty good today.

Because some Rafa fanboy had to bring him in the mix to bash Fed

Routine win really. Can't take too much from this match. Roger is just tuning his game. The semi-final will be a much more clear indication of how Roger is starting this year.

I still see a lot of those shanked forehands from last year but that might be due to lack of concentration.

Because of clowns like mad world that choke on stats like 15-6.

Fed is destined to lose to Donkey or Rafa, if he even beats Gulbis. Good to see that the cake draws continue.

You call Rogie's draw a cake draw, then what do you call Rafa's? Bolelli, Starace, Darcis, likely Troicki, what a joke half of a draw to get to the finals, now that's what I call a cake draw.

Nadal is the biggest fluke in the history of tennis because of his draws and this mug era.

So you do agree that Rafa's half of the draw at Doha is a joke? Bolelli, Starace, Darcis, and likely Troicki, that's four wins even if Rafa was playing on only one knee. Like I said, they might as well have given Rafa an automatic entry into the F, because this draw essentially did that. Karlovic or Davy should've been in Rafa's half, not both in Rogie's. A SF or Rogie vs. Davy/Karlovic and Rafa vs. Davy/Karlovic would've been perfect. Now only three of those 4 will most likely make the SF, Davy vs. Karlovic is the best QF, but I'd rather they had them in opposite halves. We all know Karlovic's currently a better tennis player than Youzhny. Youzhny's done more in the past and in GSs overall, but come on now, Karlovic's the better tennis player right now by far.

I can't believe people are debating the draw. Apart from Federer and Nadal there is one other contender in the mix - Davydenko. It was a coin flip as to which side he fell on.
