Tomic got aced 13 times and his 2nd serve got ripped to shreds.

10/30 on 2nd balls :tape:

A wonder he even got 8 games.

he's accomplished a lot more than you ever will, to see someone of your INTERNET calibre sitting here and calling a professional tennis player pathetic is hilarious  get a grip on reality

If he had his shades he would have won. Tomic is nothing without his sunglasses, it's like Federer without a bandana.

Besides the latest Russian installment of Betgate, what's so bad about Junior?

Of the players I've yet to see play, he's the one I most want to see.

A 6-4 6-4 loss in an ATP250 tournament at 17 and 2 months is far from pathetic. Tomic is four months younger than anyone else in the top 500 and is ranked 286. Call him pathetic and you're calling a lot of people pathetic. At the same age Djokovic was ranked 350 odd and Murray was ranked 550 odd.

A bit harsh there but you have to start to wonder when he is going to make his next big step. His junior results last year were almost exactly the same as the year before and his high senior ranking is mainly because of what he did very early last year. Like statracket says above though he is still very advanced for his age and has achieved a lot at the junior level and still looks like a promising prospect.

Tomic has got mad talent at a young age, that much is clear.

Whether he parlays it into a senior career remains to be seen. Yeah, he's a prick, but so are many people who play tennis.

He's 17. Give him some time.

Tomic had a Wild Card, and Dolgopolov came through the qualifiers. I think the more deserving player won.

a better and more accomplished player won, a junior got some lessons served - that is all here to talk about...

All this bitching back and forth about Tomic, when he's still young and Jr. is the young player showing more promise. This year at least, he's the one of the two to watch. The last few posts talk more sense.

Oleksandr Dolgopolov Jr. makes the final of the Tanger Challenger then picks up the title in Meknes the following week (both in Morocco). Now he's ranked 81 and is the youngest player in the top 100. He's only got 5 points to defend between now and the end of July so we could see a new top 50 player by the middle of the year.

lol isn't clay death praising him and shit now

if it was possible he's even more pathetic two months on

tomic is 9 - 1 in professional matches since this one, the only loss being the heroic battle against cilic :) go bernard
